Boney Kapoor Launches Noida International Film City

Filmmaker Boney Kapoor has officially taken possession of land for the highly anticipated Noida International Film City, in partnership with Bayview Projects, backed by Bhutani Infra. The project, which spans 1,000 acres, will kick off its first phase on 230 acres in Sector 21, adjacent to the Yamuna Expressway. With an estimated cost of Rs. 1,510 crore, the initial phase is projected to be completed within eight years.

Strategic Location and Vision

The Noida International Film City is strategically located just 4 kilometers from the upcoming Noida International Airport, positioning it as a potential entertainment hub. Arun Vir Singh, CEO of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), highlighted the project as a realization of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision for an international film city. Bayview Projects had previously signed a concession agreement with YEIDA on June 27, 2024, marking a significant step forward in the development process.

Boney Kapoor envisions the film city as a world-class destination that will attract filmmakers not only from India but also from around the globe. He stated, “We will make it a world-class film city, where filmmakers from across the world can come and create films.” The project aims to include various facilities, such as a training institute for aspiring filmmakers, a retail outlet, a village, and a film museum, enhancing the overall experience for visitors.

A Unique Experience for Visitors

Kapoor emphasized that the film city will offer more than just a glimpse into film production. He aims to provide visitors with an immersive experience, allowing them to witness shooting activities up close. “There will be a lot of activities for people who come in. They will not just see the shooting part of it; they will experience it,” he explained. This initiative is designed to engage movie enthusiasts and provide them with a deeper understanding of the filmmaking process.

Additionally, the film city will feature a world-class golf course, equipped with day and night facilities, catering to tourists and visitors. Kapoor’s vision for the Noida International Film City reflects a commitment to creating a vibrant entertainment ecosystem that combines film production with recreational activities.

Future Prospects and Community Impact

The development of the Noida International Film City is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy and community. By attracting filmmakers and tourists alike, the project aims to generate employment opportunities and stimulate growth in the region. The collaboration between Boney Kapoor and Bayview Projects signifies a promising future for the entertainment industry in Uttar Pradesh.

As the project progresses, stakeholders are optimistic about its potential to transform Noida into a major center for film production and tourism. With the first phase set to begin soon, the excitement surrounding the Noida International Film City continues to build, promising a new era for the Indian film industry.
