Scene 1: Lakshmi’s Sad Thoughts and Shalu’s Painful Visit
Lakshmi sits alone, remembering the harsh things Rishi said to her. She cannot stop thinking about his words. She tells herself that Rishi is sad because he lost his mother. But now, he does not trust her anymore. Lakshmi thinks about Paro and Rohan. She feels sorry for returning to Rishi’s family. Rishi listens, but he is still angry with Lakshmi. He says he will never forgive her. Rishi makes up his mind. He will not let Lakshmi back into his life. The gap between them grows even wider.
