AYUSH and Zepto Join Forces for Digital Wellness Initiative

The Ministry of AYUSH is set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zepto Limited on January 28, 2026, in New Delhi. This partnership seeks to establish a structured digital framework aimed at promoting authentic AYUSH medicines and wellness products through verified online platforms. The initiative promises to enhance the accessibility of traditional Indian healthcare offerings in the digital marketplace.

Union Minister of AYUSH, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, will preside over the MoU signing ceremony, with Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha also in attendance. The agreement will be executed by Shri Anurag Sharma, Chairman of the Ayush Export Promotion Council (AYUSHEXCIL), and Shri Kaivalya Vohra, Co-Founder of Zepto. This collaboration highlights a pivotal moment in merging traditional Indian healthcare with modern commerce.

Key Features of the Collaboration

The MoU encompasses several key features designed to boost the AYUSH sector’s presence in the digital realm. A dedicated AYUSH storefront will be established on Zepto’s platform, allowing consumers easy access to verified AYUSH products. This storefront will promote compliance with the AYUSH Quality Mark (AQM), which ensures that products meet certified standards for authenticity.

Additionally, AYUSHEXCIL will identify eligible AYUSH manufacturers, particularly from the MSME sector, to facilitate their onboarding onto the Zepto platform. This initiative aims to promote local entrepreneurs and expand their market reach through digital channels.

Joint consumer awareness initiatives will also be a focus, emphasizing authentic information and the responsible use of AYUSH products. Furthermore, the two entities will collaborate on creating credible educational content regarding AYUSH systems, verified by AYUSHEXCIL, which will be available on Zepto’s platform.

Empowering AYUSH Entrepreneurs

This partnership is poised to empower AYUSH entrepreneurs to leverage India’s rapidly evolving digital market. By ensuring widespread access to trustworthy and quality-assured products, the MoU aligns with the Ministry’s broader vision of promoting AYUSH as a global health and wellness system. It also complements the government’s initiatives under Digital India, Ease of Doing Business, and Make in India, reflecting a forward-thinking approach to merging tradition with modern technology.
