As per a report from Dealabs, preorders for the Asus ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X will begin in Europe on August 20. The ROG Xbox Ally is expected to retail for EUR 599 (approximately Rs. 60,400), while the Xbox Ally X is projected to be priced at EUR 899 (around Rs. 90,700). These figures are consistent with earlier leaks reported by a tipster in June. Although Microsoft and Asus have not yet confirmed these details, the Redmond-based company has scheduled a presentation at Gamescom 2025, which will take place at 3 PM CEST (6:30 PM IST) on the same day. The consoles are anticipated to hit the market in October. During the Gamescom event, Microsoft will also provide gamers with the opportunity to try a demo of the upcoming title “Hollow Knight: Silksong” on the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X. Other titles mentioned by Microsoft that are already available on different platforms include “Roblox,” “Sea of Thieves,” and “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3.”

At the recent Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft introduced the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, developed in partnership with Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer Asus. The ROG Xbox Ally is powered by an AMD Ryzen Z2 chip, featuring 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB of storage. In contrast, the Ally X model boasts a more advanced Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, equipped with 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of storage. Both models come with a 7-inch LCD screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, offers up to 500 nits of peak brightness, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Additionally, they feature FreeSync Premium technology and a DXC anti-reflection coating for enhanced visibility.
Connectivity options for both the Asus ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X include support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4. The standard model is equipped with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, while the ROG Xbox Ally X includes one USB4 Type-C port and one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port. Both handheld consoles also feature a MicroSD card reader and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. The ROG Xbox Ally is powered by a 60Wh battery, whereas the ROG Xbox Ally X comes with a larger 80Wh battery. Both models can be charged using a 65W charger stand and weigh 670g and 715g, respectively.
