Asus Launches Chromebook CX14 and CX15 Featuring Intel Celeron Processors

Asus has unveiled its latest Chromebook lineup, featuring the CX14 and CX15 series laptops, both equipped with Intel Celeron processors. These models are available in 14-inch and 15-inch sizes, boasting full HD displays and a unique 180-degree โ€œlay-flatโ€ hinge design. Additionally, Asus has introduced the Chromebook Plus models, which come with enhanced performance powered by Intel Core 3 N355 CPUs and integrated Google artificial intelligence features.

Specifications of the Chromebook CX14 and CX15

The Asus Chromebook CX14 is designed with a 14.0-inch full HD IPS screen, offering a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, a peak brightness of 300 nits, and 45 percent NTSC color gamut coverage. On the other hand, the Chromebook CX15 features a slightly larger 15.6-inch full HD display with identical specifications. Both laptops are driven by the Intel Celeron Processor N4500, which is paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of eMMC storage. Security is enhanced with the inclusion of a Titan C security chip in both models.

Asus also offers the Chromebook Plus variants of the CX14 and CX15, which are powered by the more robust Intel Core 3 N355 processor from Intel’s Twin Lake lineup. These models come with Intel UHD Graphics and can be configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of eMMC storage. The Chromebook Plus models also feature Wi-Fi 6E capabilities, enhancing their connectivity options. Aside from these upgrades, the specifications remain consistent with the standard Chromebook models.

A notable benefit of the Chromebook Plus series is the inclusion of a 12-month subscription to the Google One AI Premium plan at no additional cost. This subscription provides users with access to Gemini Advanced, 2TB of cloud storage, and integrated AI tools across Googleโ€™s suite of applications, including Gmail and Docs.
