Airtel Launches Weekend Data Rollover Plan

Bharti Airtel has unveiled an innovative recharge plan for its prepaid mobile users, allowing them to roll over unused data from weekdays to the weekend. Known as the Weekend Rollover Data Pack, this new offering is currently available to customers in Haryana and the North-East regions of India. The plan aims to enhance user experience by maximizing data usage during weekends.

Airtel’s Rs. 59 Weekend Data Rollover Pack: Benefits

The Weekend Rollover Data Pack is priced at Rs. 59 and comes with a validity period of 28 days. This plan allows users to carry over any unused mobile data from Monday through Friday, adding it to their data allowance for Saturday and Sunday. To activate this plan, Airtel prepaid customers must have a base pack that includes unlimited voice calls and daily data benefits.

For instance, if a customer has a daily data limit of 2GB but only consumes 1GB in a day, the remaining 1GB will be added to their weekend data balance. This rollover feature enables users to enjoy activities like video calls or streaming on OTT platforms without worrying about exhausting their data. Once the data limit is reached, users will experience a reduction in speed to 64Kbps, as stated by Airtel.

With this launch, Airtel joins other telecom providers in India, such as Vodafone Idea (Vi), in offering weekend rollover benefits. Additionally, Airtel has been providing monthly data rollover options for its postpaid mobile plans, further enhancing its service offerings.

Apple Subscription Bundled with Airtel Plans

In a separate development, Airtel has announced a strategic partnership with Apple to provide access to Apple TV+ for its home Wi-Fi and postpaid mobile users. Customers who subscribe to Airtel Xstream Fiber or postpaid mobile plans starting at Rs. 999 can enjoy the extensive content library available on the streaming service.

Moreover, Airtel’s postpaid mobile users will receive six months of complimentary access to Apple Music alongside their Apple TV+ subscription. This collaboration aims to enhance the value of Airtel’s plans, making them more attractive to consumers seeking entertainment options.

As Airtel continues to innovate and expand its offerings, these new plans and partnerships reflect its commitment to providing enhanced services to its customers in a competitive telecom market.
