Air India Express Resumes Middle East Flights: Explore Routes, Destinations, and Schedules

Air India Express has fully restored its operations in the Middle East, resuming flights to Kuwait and Salalah. The airline restarted services on the Kozhikode-Salalah route on July 2, with flights to Kuwait resuming on July 3. Bengaluru-Kuwait services will follow on July 4, with plans to increase frequencies on both routes shortly thereafter.

Initially, the Kozhikode-Kuwait route will operate once a week starting July 3, expanding to three weekly flights from July 5. The Bengaluru-Kuwait service will also begin with one weekly flight from July 4, increasing to three flights a week from July 7. Air India Express confirmed these details in a press release.

Flight Schedule Details

The flight schedule for the Kozhikode-Salalah route includes departures on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 AM, arriving in Salalah at 1:05 PM. Return flights from Salalah will leave at 2:15 PM and arrive in Kozhikode at 7:45 PM on the same days.

For the Kozhikode-Kuwait route, flights will depart at 7:30 AM on Fridays, arriving at 10:05 AM. Return flights from Kuwait will leave at 11:05 AM, landing in Kozhikode at 6:50 PM. The frequency will increase to three flights a week starting July 5.

Expanded Network

With the restoration of Salalah services, Air India Express is now operating from both Muscat International Airport and Salalah International Airport in Oman. The airline has also resumed flights between Muscat and Mangaluru from July 3, currently offering around 40 weekly services from Muscat to seven Indian destinations.

The airline’s Middle East network now includes services to Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, covering 13 destinations. Air India Express operates approximately 780 weekly flights connecting 18 Indian cities directly with the region. All Kuwait-bound and originating flights will operate through Terminal 4 at Kuwait International Airport, with tickets available via the airline’s website and mobile app.

In addition to these routes, Air India Express has expanded its network with new connections from Navi Mumbai to Abu Dhabi, Guwahati to Abu Dhabi, Guwahati to Dubai, Bengaluru to Phuket, and Pune to Amritsar. Following these additions, the airline will operate around 415 weekly flights from Bengaluru to 30 domestic and seven international destinations, while Kozhikode will see about 85 weekly flights connecting to Bengaluru and 13 destinations in the Middle East.
