Air Chief Marshal AP Singh Advocates Autonomy at Southern Air Command Conference
Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), visited the Headquarters of the Southern Air Command on February 16, 2026, to participate in the Annual Commanders’ Conference. His visit was marked by a ceremonial Guard of Honour upon his arrival, conducted by Air Marshal Manish Khanna, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Air Command.
During the conference, the CAS received a comprehensive briefing on current initiatives and the operational readiness pertaining to the air defense of the southern region. Engaging with the field commanders from various stations under the Southern Air Command, the CAS emphasized the critical importance of decentralized decision-making.
