Aarti looks at Ved and says the words out loud. She loves him. He loves her too. They can’t let anyone else interfere with what they have, she tells him. She wraps her arms around him in a hug. Anjali sees this whole thing happen. Food arrives, and Aarti feeds Ved by hand. He does the same for her, feeding her directly. Anjali watches this and thinks to herself—her daughter could never act this way. This isn’t the Aarti she knows. Aarti hands Ved fresh clothes and suggests he should clean up and change. Ved agrees and walks away to do exactly that. When night comes, Aarti tucks a blanket around Ved while he’s asleep and shuts the door to his room quietly.
Anjali corners Aarti with a direct question. Who is this person? Aarti identifies him as Ved Rajyavanshi. Anjali’s next question is obvious—what’s he doing in their house? She reminds Aarti that Aman used to occupy that room. Why is someone with zero connection to their family living here now? Aarti’s response is straightforward. She does have a connection with him. She’s in love with him.
Anjali raises her hand toward Aarti but stops herself from actually striking her. She orders Aarti to make Ved leave this house immediately. Aarti begs her mother to reconsider. Ved doesn’t have anywhere else to go, she pleads. Anjali argues back—Ved’s already married to another woman, so loving him isn’t even possible. Aarti insists the marriage wasn’t real. Padma can verify that herself, she says. Anjali cuts her off. She doesn’t want to hear explanations. Send Ved away, she repeats. Aarti keeps pleading, but Anjali’s done talking. She knocks on Ved’s door.
When Pride Matters More Than Pleas
Ved calls out that the door’s unlocked. Anjali enters and tells him to leave their house. She points out he’s married, making everything he’s doing here illegal. Ved tries explaining the marriage was fake. Anyone can confirm this if she asks. Anjali refuses to listen and repeats her demand—he needs to leave now. Aarti stands there with folded hands, begging. Ved tells Aarti to stop. Don’t beg anyone, not even your own mother, he says. He’ll leave on his own terms. Before walking out, Ved tells Anjali something she’ll remember later. One day she’ll regret this mistake. Then he’s gone.
Anjali tells Aarti to go to bed. Aarti’s response stings. Maybe Anjali never truly loved her since she didn’t raise her. She makes this observation openly. Anjali snaps at her to be quiet and scolds her harshly. Alone in her room, Aarti thinks about Ved and gets emotional.
Threats, Calls, and Unexpected Alliances
Kali addresses Ved’s family members directly. She wants Ved back. Uday challenges her claim. Where are the papers proving this marriage? Give them to Raghav so he can represent her in court. Kali says Ved destroyed those papers. Sonali tells her to wipe off the sindoor then, since without proof, they can’t establish anything legally. Kali says she can’t survive without Ved. They need to bring him to her, or both the Rajput family and Thakur family will end up in jail. Kali’s phone rings. She answers. Anjali asks if she’s speaking to Kali. Yes, Kali confirms. Who’s calling? Anjali introduces herself as a lawyer but keeps her full identity private for now. She asks whether Kali’s truly married to Ved. Kali says absolutely—she married Ved following every custom and tradition properly. She accuses Aarti of trying to destroy her home by having an affair with her husband.
Anjali’s response is sharp. Shut up about Aarti right now. As a woman, Kali should know how to respect other women. Kali suspects Anjali’s somehow connected to Aarti. She demands to know her name and what type of lawyer she is. Anjali lays out the situation clearly. If Kali’s genuinely married to Ved, she’ll get him back. But if not, Ved’s free to marry whoever he loves—Aarti. Anjali promises that if Kali brings marriage proof, she’ll make sure justice happens. She ends the call after that promise.
Uday and Sonalika ask who was on the phone. Kali explains some lawyer called offering to help her get her husband back. She’s choosing to trust what the lawyer said.
