Chandraman watches Anjali’s sharp words cut through the air like a knife aimed at Yuvraj. “You’re insulting me,” he mutters, arms crossed. Anjali smirks. “Yes, I’m insulting you. And when you bring your baraat to our house, I’ll insult you even more.” She turns on her heel and leaves. Chandraman calls Raghav aside. “Keep an eye on her. Nivedita and the women crowd the kitchen, pots clanging. “Mehek, stir the halwa clockwise,” Nivedita instructs. Mehek obeys, her face lit by the stove’s glow. Every bride must learn!” Anjali snaps, “This marriage won’t happen.” Gini gasps. “Yuvraj and Mehek’s bond is sealed! You can’t stop it now.” Mehek pleads, “Please, Anjali! Yuvraj’s not a criminal. He’s my future.” Anjali steps closer. “He molested a girl. Then, after bail, he kidnapped Padma again. How can you call him good?” She grabs Mehek’s wrist. “Marrying him is suicide.” Mehek yanks free. “My father chose him. I trust his judgment!”
Scene 3: Lines in the Sand
Raghav storms in. “Anjali, enough!” He looms over her. “Mehek’s my daughter. I decide her groom.” Anjali glares. “You’re using her to win your case against Padma.” Gini interrupts, “Yuvraj said you must invite him with aarti, Anjali! No one else!” Anjali scoffs. “I’ll do it. I’ll take him to the mandap myself… but this marriage won’t happen.” She exits, leaving silence in her wake. Later, Raghav grabs Mehek’s arm. “Don’t let Anjali change your mind.” Mehek nods. “I won’t.” Nivedita drags her back to the kitchen, halwa forgotten.

Padma’s voice crackles through Anjali’s phone. “Yuvraj molested me!” Raghav snatches the device and yells, “Traitor!” He slams the phone down, severing the call. Raghav slumps into a chair. “She’ll never accept this.” Outside, Yuvraj smirks at Gungroo. “At the Thakur function, I’ll make Anjali dance in front of everyone.” Anjali overhears from the doorway. “Try it, Yuvraj. I’ll arm-wrestle you right there. And I’ll win.” Yuvraj laughs. “Deal.”
