Adobe Launches AI Video Generation Tool
Adobe has taken a significant step in the world of video production with the public beta release of its Generate Video tool. Announced on Wednesday, this innovative tool is now accessible to all users. It utilizes Adobe’s Firefly Video Model, which was first previewed in September 2024. Adobe Releases Generate Video in Beta
Generate Video marks Adobe’s entry into AI-powered end-to-end video generation. This tool allows users to create videos using both text prompts and images as inputs. It can produce videos in 1080p resolution at 24 frames per second. According to Adobe, the tool provides users with granular control over their video projects. Users can specify camera angles, motion, shooting distances, art styles, and other cinematography details. Currently, Generate Video can create five-second-long videos, making it ideal for quick content creation.
Moreover, the tool supports complex requests. For instance, users can lock in the first and last frames of a shot to ensure continuity. They can also maintain consistent colors and character details throughout the video. Adobe plans to enhance the tool further by introducing a lower-resolution ideation model and a 4K model for more advanced production work. On the other hand, the Translate Audio/Translate Video tool allows users to translate audio files and channels in videos into over 20 languages while preserving the original voice of the speaker.
To support these new features, Adobe has launched two subscription plans for Firefly users. The Firefly Standard plan is priced at $9.99 per month and offers 2,000 video and audio credits, allowing for up to 20 five-second 1080p video generations. For those needing more resources, the Firefly Pro plan is available for $29.99 per month. This plan provides 7,000 credits and allows for up to 70 five-second 1080p video generations. Both plans also include unlimited access to Firefly imaging and vector features, making them attractive options for content creators looking to enhance their video production capabilities.
