Scene 1: A Call from Vasundhara
Anupama was busy folding clothes when her phone rang. She handed it to Paritosh, saying, “Pick it up, please.” It was Vasundhara calling. After exchanging greetings, Vasundhara got straight to the point. “Anupama, you need to decide about Rahi’s wedding soon,” she said firmly. “Don’t let her cross limits.” Anupama listened carefully, nodding even though Vasundhara couldn’t see her. “I understand,” Anupama replied. “But these things take time.” Vasundhara wasn’t satisfied. “Time is running out. Keep an eye on her,” she warned before hanging up. Anupama sighed deeply, feeling the weight of Vasundhara’s words. Paritosh noticed her expression and asked, “What did she say?” Anupama shook her head. “Nothing new. Just reminding me about Rahi’s future.”
Scene 2: Rahi’s Late-Night Return
Later that day, Mahi rushed into the living room. “Maa, Rahi is back!” she announced. Anupama immediately went to confront Rahi. “Where were you all night?” she demanded. Rahi hesitated but then admitted, “I was with Prem.” Anupama’s eyes narrowed. “And why couldn’t you two meet at a café or here at home? Why stay overnight?” “I’m sorry, Maa,” Rahi said softly. “We didn’t do anything wrong. I promise.” Anupama frowned. “Even if you’re right, people won’t see it that way. Society will judge you harshly.” In another corner of the house, Paritosh and Pakhi whispered nervously. “If the Kotharis find out, they might cancel the alliance,” Pakhi said. Paritosh nodded. “Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.”
Scene 3: Leela’s Blame Game
Leela stormed into the room, pointing a finger at Rahi. “This is unacceptable! How could you spend the night outside without thinking about the consequences?” Mahi tried to mediate. “But Auntie, how did you even get inside Prem’s house? There’s tight security there.” “The guards know me,” Rahi explained. “They let me in without asking questions.” Anupama stepped in. “It doesn’t matter how you got in. People will talk. They’ll say your father isn’t around and your mother can’t control you.” Leela chimed in again. “Exactly! What will others think of our family?” Anupama turned to Rahi, her voice rising. “Do you realize what you’ve done? You’ve put us all in a difficult position!” Prem arrived just then and apologized. “Please forgive us, Anupama. We didn’t mean to cause trouble.” Anupama looked at both of them sternly. “Be careful next time. Very careful.”
Scene 4: Prem’s Dilemma
As Prem walked away from Anupama’s house, he muttered to himself, “How did Baa find out about last night?” Radha caught up with him. “Hey, relax. Everything will work out.” Prem shook his head. “No, it won’t. I don’t know how to make things right with Anupama.” Radha shrugged. “Neither do I. But you’ll figure something out.” Back at the Shahs’, Paritosh and Ansh treated Prem delicately, almost tiptoeing around him. Fed up, Prem snapped, “Stop treating me like I’m one of the Kotharis! I’m not fragile.” Meanwhile, Radha accidentally dialed Prathana instead of someone else. When she realized her mistake, she quickly hung up, muttering, “Oops, wrong number.” At the Kothari residence, Gautam fueled Parag’s anger by telling him, “Did you know Prem is treated like a servant at Anupama’s house?” Parag clenched his fists. “That’s unacceptable. Something needs to be done.”
Scene 5: Deciding the Alliance
The next morning, Anupama, Leela, and Hasmuk gathered to discuss Rahi and Prem’s future. Anupama spoke first. “We should propose their marriage soon. Before anything else happens.” Vasundhara raised an eyebrow. “Why the sudden change of heart?” Leela interjected. “Because if we delay, who knows what might happen again?” When Parag heard about the proposal, he scoffed. “Rahi may be ready, but Prem isn’t. Take back the proposal.” Rahi overheard the conversation and felt uneasy. Ansh approached her. “Are you marrying Prem just to bring him closer to his family?” Rahi shook her head. “No, I’m doing it because I love him. And yes, I’ll take full responsibility for the Kotharis once we’re married.”
Scene 6: Confrontation with Parag
Parag confronted Anupama later. “What changed overnight that made you reconsider the proposal?” Before Anupama could answer, Prem interrupted. “Baa, I support Rahi fully. Please accept the proposal.” After a long pause, Baa finally agreed. “Fine, but remember—it’s not easy being a Kothari daughter-in-law.” Anupama nodded. “And it’s not easy being a daughter-in-law at all.” Khyati reassured Anupama. “Don’t worry. We’ll treat Rahi like our own daughter.” Despite the agreement, Parag remained angry. He confronted Baa, yelling, “Why did you arrange this match? Prem isn’t ready!” Baa stood firm. “Enough, Parag. Accept Rahi for Prem’s sake.” Parag glared at Rahi. “She has no manners!” Baa replied calmly. “I’ll guide her, just like I guided Khyati and Neeta.”
