Scene 1: Vasundhara Questions Rahi’s Decision
Vasundhara stares at Rahi. “Why can’t you marry Prem if you love him? Give me one reason!” Rahi looks down. “I… I need to focus on my career first. I’m not ready for marriage yet.” Vasundhara crosses her arms. “Career? Marriage is the biggest career for a girl!” Rahi shakes her head. “No, Baa. I want to stand on my own feet before getting married. Please understand.” Khyati steps forward. “Do you even want to marry Prem?” Rahi nods. “Yes, but I need time to know him better. Marriage is a big step.” Vasundhara scoffs. “You’ve known him for years! What more is there to know?” Rahi pleads, “Baa, give me a few months. I’ll decide after I start working.” Vasundhara turns away. “This generation doesn’t value traditions!”
Scene 2: Prem’s Unexpected Refusal
Prem enters the room. Vasundhara points at him. “Why won’t you marry Rahi? Do you dislike her?” Prem sighs. “No, Baa. I respect her. But I also want to build my career first.” Parag laughs loudly. “Career? You’re just helping the Shah family!” Prem glares. “I’m working hard, Dad. This is my choice.” Anupama interrupts. “Let’s respect their decisions. Forcing them will only cause problems.” Vasundhara snaps, “You’re defending her? Look at your own life—divorced, kids running away!” Anupama stays calm. “My past doesn’t change Rahi’s right to choose.”
Scene 3: Anupama vs. Vasundhara’s Clash
Vasundhara raises her voice. “Girls today compete with men, and marriages break! Look at Prathana—she’s happy being a housewife.” Anupama shakes her head. “Prathana’s life is her choice. Rahi wants something else.” “Kothari women don’t work!” Vasundhara thumps the table. Anupama replies, “What if something happens? A career gives security.” Parag mocks Prem again. “Security? He’s just a servant for the Shahs!” Prem shouts, “Stop insulting me, Dad! I’m building my future!”
Scene 4: Vasundhara’s Fear of Rebellion
Vasundhara turns to Anupama. “What if Prem and Rahi… do things without marriage?” Anupama frowns. “Trust their values. We’ve raised them well.” Vasundhara laughs bitterly. “Raised well? Rahi ran away twice! Pakhi and Paritosh eloped too!” Paritosh mutters, “Here she goes again—blaming everyone.” Pakhi adds, “Anupama will never let us be happy.” Anupama ignores them. “My divorce taught me that forcing relationships doesn’t work.” Vasundhara snaps, “Your divorce taught you nothing! You failed in marriage and want Rahi to fail too!” Anupama gasps, hurt.
Scene 5: Anupama’s Emotional Defense
Anupama’s voice trembles. “I didn’t choose divorce lightly. Vanraj cheated on me. Should I have stayed silent?” Vasundhara rolls her eyes. “You’re poisoning Rahi’s mind against marriage!” Rahi steps in. “Baa, Mom supports me! Why can’t you?” Vasundhara shouts, “Silence! You’ll marry when I say!” Anupama holds Rahi’s hand. “No. She’ll marry when she’s ready.” The room falls silent.
Scene 6: Parag’s Ultimatum
Parag points at Prem. “Choose—your family or the Shahs!” Prem yells, “Why can’t I have both? I’m not your puppet!” Vasundhara rubs her temples. “Enough! My head is spinning.” Anupama tries to calm them. “Fighting won’t solve anything.” Parag sneers. “You’re the problem! You turned Prem against us!” Prem storms out. “I’m done explaining!”
Scene 7: Baa’s Health Crisis
Later, Vasundhara clutches her chest. “My dream… to see Prem and Rahi married…” Anupama rushes to her side. “Baa, stay calm!” Vasundhara whispers, “Promise me… convince them to marry.” Prem enters, worried. “Baa, are you okay?” Vasundhara grips his hand. “Marry Rahi… before I die.” Rahi cries. “Baa, don’t say that!” Vasundhara closes her eyes, breathing heavily.
