The Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Ropar recently hosted the SMF2024 Conference on Sheet Metal Forming. Dr. Santosh Kumar, the Corporate Head and Vice President of R&D at Jindal Stainless Ltd., served as the Chief Guest. He was joined by Prof. K Narasimhan from IIT Bombay, who is also the Secretary of the Sheet Metal Forming Research Association (SMFRA). Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, the Director of IIT Ropar, expressed his best wishes to all participants and emphasized the importance of the conference for the future of mechanical engineering.
