India’s Vision for a Better Tomorrow

During his speech, the Prime Minister shared India’s vision for a more sustainable and peaceful world for future generations. He spoke on behalf of the 1.4 billion people of India, representing one-sixth of humanity. The Prime Minister emphasized that India seeks global peace, development, and prosperity. He called for a human-centered approach in building a better future for all.

India’s Success in Lifting Millions Out of Poverty

The Prime Minister was proud to highlight India’s achievements in improving the lives of its people. Over the past decade, India has lifted 250 million people out of poverty. This success story shows India’s commitment to sustainable development and social progress. He also expressed solidarity with the Global South, offering India’s support and experience to help other developing nations.

The Importance of Technology for Public Good

The Prime Minister spoke about the role of technology in building a better future. He emphasized the need for balanced rules to ensure the safe and responsible use of technology. India, with its strong digital infrastructure, is open to sharing its digital advancements for the greater public good. This includes offering India’s digital public infrastructure to other nations.

‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’

The Prime Minister reiterated India’s guiding principle, “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” as a message of unity. He emphasized the need for countries to work together to tackle global challenges and build a future that benefits everyone.

Reforming Global Governance

A key point in the Prime Minister’s speech was the need to reform international organizations, including the United Nations Security Council. He stressed that global governance institutions must adapt to be relevant in today’s world. Global action, he said, should match the scale of global challenges. The Prime Minister called for urgent reforms to ensure that these institutions better reflect today’s realities.

Outcome of the Summit

The Summit of the Future ended with the adoption of an important document called “A Pact for the Future.” This document includes two key agreements: the Global Digital Compact and the Declaration on Future Generations.
