Indian Navy is hosting its third Station Commanders’ Workshop
The Indian Navy is hosting its third Station Commanders’ Workshop from 18-20 March 2024 in New Delhi. Following the success of the previous two workshops held at INS Hamla in Mumbai (Southern Naval Command) and INS Circars (Eastern Naval Command), the upcoming event will bring together over 100 Station Commanders, Unit Heads and Commanding Officers to collaborate and share innovative ideas for enhancing the overall administration of all naval stations located across the country, including the island territories of Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The workshop will have several professional presentations by NHQ staff, Command HQ staff, and Station Commanders. The Naval Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA) will also participate in the workshop. A special session will be dedicated to discussing the Early Intervention Centres (EICs) of the Indian Navy. EICs are an initiative of NWWA aimed at identifying and addressing developmental delays in children aged 0-6 years. This early intervention ensures that children receive timely professional help that enables them to be a part of mainstream education. EICs are located in all three commands, Delhi, and Karwar. The meeting will be chaired by Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh, Controller of Personnel Services (CPS), and the opening and closing address will be delivered by Admiral Hari Kumar, the Chief of Naval Staff.
