Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi commended the dedication of all those working to protect lion habitat on World Lion Day.

India takes pride in being the homeland of Asiatic lions and there has been a steady increase in the lion population in India in recent years. I commend all those working to protect lion habitat. We can continue to love and protect them, ensuring they thrive for generations to come.”
