Rajya Sabha witnessed a historic first today when the president, speaker and table staff were all women for a short time during the debate in the House.
When Rajya Sabha member Smt. Mamata Mohanta was speaking to the House, Smt. Phangnon Konyak presided over the proceedings and the table in the well of the Chamber was occupied by officials who were all women.
