Air Cargo Export Delhi Commissionerate carries out destruction of drugs as part of drive to mark International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

Air Cargo Customs (Export) Commissionate, Delhi destroyed 326 kg of narcotic and psychotropic substances on 26.06.2023, also on the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, at Biotic Waste Solutions Private Limited, New Delhi, Delhi Pollution Control Board Approved Facility.

On 27.06.2023 over 19.52kg of seized opium was delivered to the government opium and alkaloid factory, Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh as part of the campaign against illicit drug trafficking.

The destroyed lots were contraband seized in 72 cases which included ganja, heroin, khat leaves, opium, ketamine among other NDPS substances. The seizures were largely carried out at the new courier terminal and foreign post office, administered by the Air Cargo Customs (Export) Commissionate, Delhi

In a major blow to Narcotic and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) smugglers, Delhi Customs has played an instrumental role in tackling the drug threat in the country.
