Chandrachur Singh Takes Legal Action Over Alleged Forgery of Grandfather’s Will, Points Finger at Family

Actor Chandrachur Singh has taken legal action regarding a protracted family inheritance dispute. He has approached the police, alleging that his grandfather’s will was forged to deny his late father his rightful share of the family property. The complaint, filed at the Rorawar police station in Aligarh, names his aunt Gaytri Devi, two cousins, and four other family members in the FIR.
Allegations of Forgery
Singh claims that the signature of his grandfather, Thakur Harender Pal Singh, was forged on a will dated 1997. He asserts that at that time, his grandfather was seriously ill and unable to sign legal documents. The actor has accused his uncle Ganga Singh and other relatives of being complicit in this alleged forgery. According to Singh, the disputed will resulted in his father, Captain Baldev Singh, being deprived of his share of the family inheritance.
In his complaint, Singh stated that his father was not present in Aligarh when the will was supposedly prepared. He also mentioned that another uncle, Puniya Pratap Singh, had passed away before Harender Pal Singh. Singh noted that several valuable properties listed in the disputed will have been sold over the years. He expressed confidence in the evidence he has gathered to support his claims and confirmed that he recorded his statement with the police following the FIR’s registration.
Family Response to Allegations
The family dispute gained public attention last year when Gaytri Devi denied the allegations against her. She accused Chandrachur Singh of attempting to falsely implicate her and insisted that the will was legitimate. The ongoing conflict has drawn significant media interest, particularly given the family’s political background.
Captain Baldev Singh, Chandrachur’s father, was a former Congress MLA from Aligarh city and passed away a few years ago. The police have now registered a case and initiated an investigation into the allegations made by Singh. As of now, the claims in the FIR remain allegations and have not been substantiated.
