The report considers visa accessibility, flight connectivity, affordability and popularity – four factors that are increasingly important when choosing an overseas holiday.
Thailand
Thailand remains one of the most popular choices, combining relatively easy access with beaches, luxury resorts, shopping, nightlife and excellent food. Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi and the islands of the Andaman and Gulf coasts offer something for almost every type of traveller.
UAE
Dubai and Abu Dhabi continue to attract Indian visitors with outstanding air connectivity, luxury hotels, shopping and family-friendly attractions. The UAE is particularly convenient for short breaks, and new initiatives are continuing to encourage Indian visitors. In August 2026, Abu Dhabi even launched a programme offering complimentary UAE entry visas to eligible Indian tourists booking through participating partners.
