IEPFA Launches New Portal to Enhance Investor Services
The Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA), part of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has taken a significant step toward improving investor services by launching a new integrated portal. In collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), IEPFA conducted a Stakeholder Engagement Session with Companies’ Nodal Officers to showcase the features of the Integrated IEPFA Portal 2.0. This interactive session not only provided a demonstration of the new portal but also gathered essential feedback from participants ahead of its anticipated launch.
The session was spearheaded by Ms. Anita Shah Akella, CEO of IEPFA and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, along with senior officials from both IEPFA and NeGD. The focus was on the modernized portal which aims to streamline the investor claim process through numerous digital enhancements designed for better operational efficiency.
Features Designed for Investor Ease
Among the key features presented were the integration of digital KYC processes, a pre-filled Form IEPF-5, a search facility for entitlements, and an easier, simplified three-step workflow for filing e-Verification Reports (EVRs). Moreover, the session provided stakeholders with a detailed implementation roadmap that includes User Acceptance Testing (UAT) set for August 2026, followed by training in September, pilot testing in October, and an official launch scheduled for November 2026.
Engaging Stakeholder Participation
During the session, Companies’ Nodal Officers contributed valuable insights based on their experiences. Their suggestions focused on enhancing the new portal’s functionality, including integrating Aadhaar eKYC for address validation, mandatory KYC checks for Authorized Representatives, and implementing a thorough validation checklist before the issuance of Entitlement Letters. Additionally, they proposed features such as bulk DSC and eSign capabilities and improved data integration for share valuations based on stock exchange data.
Commitment to Investor Protection
The feedback gathered during this session will be considered by the NeGD team as they finalize the portal, which is part of IEPFA’s broader commitment to improving investor services. With a focus on technology-enabled reforms, IEPFA aims to enhance transparency, streamline claim settlements, and create a secure digital environment for investors.
The IEPFA continues its mission to foster investor awareness and protection by promoting education and strategic collaborations. As technology drives change, the organization remains dedicated to implementing citizen-centric initiatives that facilitate efficient claim settlements nationwide.
