Union Public Service Commission Declares CDS Exam Results
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results for the Combined Defence Services Examination (II) of 2025. Out of a total of 483 candidates who qualified, 455 were based on the examination results, with an additional 28 being selected through interviews conducted by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence. The successful candidates are now eligible for admission to the prestigious Officers Training Academy in Chennai for the 124th Short Service Commission Course, which begins in October 2026.
This acceptance includes 276 openings for the 124th Short Service Commission (Men) and 19 openings for the 124th Short Service Commission (Women). Notably, the list of candidates for the Men’s course also features those who were previously recommended for admission to the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun, the Indian Naval Academy in Kerala, and the Air Force Academy in Hyderabad.
Provisional Results and Further Information
It is important to clarify that the medical examination results of the candidates were not factored into the merit list, making each candidate’s admission provisional. The Army Headquarters will conduct verification of candidates’ date of birth and educational qualifications.
Candidates seeking more details about their results can visit the UPSC’s official website at www.upsc.gov.in. The marks of the qualified candidates will be available there within 15 days of the final result declaration and will remain accessible for a period of 30 days.

The UPSC encourages candidates to review the disclosure of scores and information regarding non-recommended candidates, which can also be found on the Commission’s website. These individuals can select options while downloading their scores.
