Kala Hiran Controversy Escalates: Sonu Mishra Opens Up About Leaving Film Tied to Salman Khan’s Blackbuck Case

The controversy surrounding “Kala Hiran: Battle of Legacy” continues to escalate, drawing significant attention from both the media and the public. Produced by Amit Jani, the film is reportedly inspired by publicly available information related to the ongoing blackbuck case involving Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The film’s first look, featuring actor Sonu Mishra, has sparked discussions due to Mishra’s striking resemblance to Khan.
Sonu Mishra’s Departure from the Film
In light of the legal disputes initiated by Salman Khan and his team, several individuals associated with the film have voiced their concerns about its narrative. The latest to speak out is lead actor Sonu Mishra, who recently addressed the media at a press conference regarding his exit from the project. Mishra revealed that although he was initially enthusiastic about the role, he was never provided with an official agreement, prompting his decision to leave.
“I was so much excited because I was supposed to play the role of superstar Salman Khan. I had also started the shooting of the film. But when the intent is negative, being an actor, I don’t want to be a part of such a film,” Mishra stated. He expressed his discomfort with the portrayal of Salman Khan, emphasizing that the film presents a one-sided narrative.
Mishra further explained his concerns about the project, stating, “I left because I had not signed the agreement. We shot for two days, and I asked them for the agreement and script because they were making a one-sided narrative story against a superstar.” He added that after reviewing the contract, he discovered clauses that required him to speak negatively about Khan in the media, which he found to be against his ethics.
Legal Action Against the Film
As the situation unfolds, Salman Khan and his legal team have taken action by approaching the Delhi High Court to seek a ban on “Kala Hiran” and its promotional materials. The petition argues that the film infringes on Khan’s personality rights and is based on an ongoing legal matter that is currently under sub judice. The Delhi High Court has acknowledged the case and issued a notice to the filmmakers, indicating that the matter is being taken seriously.
The next hearing in this legal battle is scheduled for June 19, adding further tension to the already controversial project. With increasing legal scrutiny and key members distancing themselves from the film, the future of “Kala Hiran: Battle of Legacy” remains uncertain.
