Delhi to Host Phase-2 of Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, will kick off Phase-2 of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect Programme (VBYCP) in Delhi on March 9, 2026. This initiative aims to deepen youth engagement with the national vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, encouraging young citizens to contribute to the nation’s future.
A Platform for Ideas and Engagement
The second edition of the Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect will bring together students from over 35 colleges across Delhi, providing a platform for them to engage, share ideas, and collaborate on national issues. Building on the success of the first phase in 2025, which saw enthusiastic participation across the country, this expanded outreach is expected to attract more than 10,000 students to participate in various interactive sessions, dialogues, and activities.
Connecting Young Minds with National Development
The programme has already made significant strides nationally, reaching 274 universities and colleges across 22 States and Union Territories. During the first phase, 274 Youth Icons engaged with nearly 20,000 young people. This year’s initiative in Delhi seeks to create even deeper institutional connections and facilitate constructive discussions on India’s development journey.
Prominent Institutions Collaborate
Collaborating with several leading institutions, including Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, IIIT Delhi, and Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, the programme promises to mobilize young minds around shared goals. The sessions will feature youth icons who are recognized leaders in national youth initiatives. Their experiences will inspire the Amrit Peedhi to take an active role in nation-building.
Engagement Through Innovative Formats
Participants will have the opportunity to express their ideas and perspectives through engaging presentations and Yuva Samvad sessions, focusing on creating an Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat by 2047. By fostering a spirit of Jan Bhagidari, the programme aims to give youth a voice in shaping their nation’s future.
Encouraging Youth Participation
Additionally, registration and awareness stalls for the Mera Yuva Bharat platform will be set up at participating colleges. This is designed to encourage students to join the MY Bharat initiative and participate in volunteer-driven efforts aimed at strengthening nation-building efforts.
