In a significant move to enhance cooperation in skill development and vocational education, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Minister of State for Education in India, met with Mr. Matias Marttinen, Finland’s Minister of Employment. The meeting, aimed at exploring joint initiatives, highlighted the growing partnership between India and Finland, especially in areas vital for workforce mobility and talent development.

Both ministers acknowledged the alignment between India’s young and dynamic workforce and Finland’s commitment to technological and vocational excellence. Shri Chaudhary stated, “Under the vision of the Prime Minister, India is steadily progressing toward becoming the Global Skill Capital of the world. With a robust skilling ecosystem and a youthful demographic, India is poised to contribute valuable talent to global industries. Our discussions focused on building effective partnerships to enhance vocational training and create pathways for skilled youth to access international opportunities while upholding high training standards.”
