India Showcases Future of Media Innovation at AI Impact Expo 2026
In an exciting development for India’s Media & Entertainment landscape, 51 innovative startups from the AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality) sector are set to display their cutting-edge products at the WAVES Creators Corner. This dynamic showcase, powered by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, will take place during the India AI Impact Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam from February 16th to 20th, 2026.
The initiative is made possible through the support of WaveX, a platform aimed at nurturing India’s innovative creative economy. The WAVES Creators’ Corner will offer these startups a vital space to present their AI-driven solutions, engaging storytelling formats, gaming advancements, virtual production tools, and next-generation content technologies to key industry players, investors, policymakers, and global stakeholders.
A Diverse Range of Innovations
The showcased startups represent a diverse cross-section of India’s rapidly expanding AVGC-XR sector. They will reveal groundbreaking technologies, including AI-enhanced animation pipelines, real-time rendering engines, immersive XR experiences, and educational gamified learning platforms. These innovations highlight the transformative impact of artificial intelligence in reshaping how content is created, distributed, and how audiences engage with it.
Futuristic Ideas and Technologies
At the India AI Impact Summit 2026, the WAVES Creators Corner will also feature visionary projects for “Ideas for India AI.” Among the intriguing exhibits is the “Zero-Touch Autonomous Newsroom,” a pioneering system that translates live event feeds into multilingual “Breaking News” bulletins in Hindi, English, and Tamil automatically. Another highlight is “The Bhasha-Wall,” a large video grid that demonstrates real-time lip-synced dubbing in eight Indian languages alongside an AI-controlled sign language avatar.
Visitors to the exhibit can look forward to immersive experiences such as “Samvad Setu,” which allows conversations with historical figures, and “The Director’s Chair,” where users can modify movie scenes using voice commands. Attendees can also try out “Swar Sangam,” an innovative platform for creating broadcast-quality anthems in mere seconds. Additionally, an AI-powered podcast studio will enable real-time multilingual interviews, while a conversational AI humanoid robot and a voice cloning station will allow guests to hear themselves speaking fluently in various Indian languages.
Celebrating Innovative Startups
Furthermore, startups recognized as winners of the Bhashasetu and Kalaasetu Challenges will also be part of the Expo. These startups have shown exceptional creativity in language technology and cultural tech applications, displaying AI-enhanced tools that improve linguistic accessibility, protect cultural heritage, and broaden the reach of Indian creative content to a wider audience.
