Transforming Grassroots Governance: AI Solutions at India AI Impact Expo 2026
The Ministry of Panchayati Raj is set to make a significant impact at the India AI Impact Expo 2026, taking place from February 16 to 20 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The ministry will showcase innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions aimed at bolstering grassroots governance, improving administrative efficiency, and enhancing accountability in public services. This initiative highlights the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for better public service delivery.
Showcasing Innovative AI Solutions
Among the AI solutions featured at the expo is SabhaSaar, an AI-powered tool designed to efficiently record, transcribe, and summarize Gram Sabha meetings and official gatherings into structured and actionable minutes. Another notable application is PRAMAN (Panchayati Raj Asset Monitoring and Notification), which utilizes image analytics for the automated validation of asset photographs. This system efficiently conducts quality assessments, confirms authenticity, and detects any duplication.
Additionally, eGramSaathi, an AI chatbot, will be introduced to assist both Panchayat officials and citizens by delivering important information and guidance regarding governance processes and services. Attendees at the booth can look forward to immersive and interactive experiences that demonstrate how AI can simplify complex administrative processes.
Engaging Simulations and Live Demonstrations
One of the most engaging attractions will be the ‘Be the Sarpanch’ simulation, which offers visitors a role-based interactive experience showcasing AI-enabled decision documentation through the traditional Nukkad Natak method. This format not only provides entertainment but also educates participants on the practical applications of AI in governance.
The Ministry aims to create an experiential space at the expo, allowing attendees to delve into live demonstrations of AI platforms tailored for grassroots governance. This initiative not only showcases scalable digital innovations available for local governments but also promotes a discourse on the responsible and impactful integration of AI into public systems.
Commitment to Citizen-Centric Governance
By participating in the AI Impact Expo, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj seeks to reaffirm its commitment to citizen-centric governance and policy-led adoption of emerging technologies. With a focus on addressing governance challenges at the Panchayat and local administrative levels, the ministry’s involvement promises to inspire a new era of effective governance enabled by AI.
