Samsung Galaxy S26 Series: Design and Key Specifications

Reports suggest that Samsung will maintain a familiar design language for the Galaxy S26 lineup, focusing on refinements rather than drastic changes. The Galaxy S26 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 and a 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Plus may retain a 6.7-inch QHD+ display, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra is anticipated to sport a 6.9-inch display with similar resolution specifications. All models are likely to include Corning Gorilla Armour 2 for enhanced durability.

In terms of performance, Samsung may adopt a regional chipset strategy. In Europe, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus could be powered by the Exynos 2600 processor, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra may utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. All devices are expected to ship with One UI 8.5, based on Android 16, ensuring a smooth and user-friendly experience.

For photography enthusiasts, the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus are likely to feature a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to elevate the photography experience with a 200MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and an additional 10MP telephoto camera. All models may include a 12MP front camera, supporting AI-based portrait and video tools, along with 8K video recording capabilities.

Battery capacity is also set to improve, with the Galaxy S26 featuring a 4,300mAh battery, while the S26 Plus may retain a 4,900mAh unit. The Ultra model is expected to continue with a 5,000mAh battery and support for 60W wired charging. The series is anticipated to offer 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB-C, and stereo speakers, making it a comprehensive package for modern smartphone users.
