Govt Partners with Physics Wallah for Free Coaching Initiative
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is making strides in promoting inclusive education by offering free online coaching to aspiring students from marginalized backgrounds in India. This initiative will specifically benefit candidates from Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, and individuals supported by the PM CARES for Children Scheme, allowing up to 5,000 students annually to access valuable preparation resources for competitive examinations.
Memorandum of Understanding with Physics Wallah Foundation
In a significant move, the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Physics Wallah (PW) Foundation. This agreement is designed to provide comprehensive coaching tailored to students preparing for critical government examinations such as the Civil Services Examination, Staff Selection Commission Examination, and various Banking Examinations. Importantly, it is noted that the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has not established any similar agreements for Scheduled Tribe students.
Features of the Coaching Initiative
The initiative offers a wide range of resources that include structured online courses, live and recorded classes, access to a variety of test series, previous year question papers, and extensive study materials. Additionally, beneficiaries will receive mentorship, doubt-solving assistance, and counseling to further enhance their learning experience. Selection for the program is merit-based, facilitated through a dedicated online portal to ensure transparency and fairness.
Goals of the Initiative
The primary aim of this initiative is to empower eligible beneficiaries by providing them access to high-quality preparatory resources. By doing so, the program seeks to promote social inclusion and equal opportunities for all students, enabling them to compete effectively in a job market that increasingly demands excellence. As these candidates prepare for their respective examinations, they will also be instilled with the necessary confidence to succeed.
