Realme CMO Discusses P4 Power’s Impressive 10,001 mAh Battery
What was once a mere concept is now on the verge of becoming a reality, as Realme prepares to launch the Realme P4 Power in India on January 29, 2026. This innovative smartphone boasts an impressive 10,001mAh battery, developed in collaboration with students from Pearl Academy, as part of Realme’s new ‘Trans’ design language. Ahead of the launch, Francis Wong, Chief Marketing Officer of Realme India, shared insights into the phone’s features, target audience, and the design innovations that make this high-capacity battery possible.
Battery Capacity and Fast Charging
In an era where 120W fast charging has become commonplace, the introduction of a 10,001mAh battery raises questions about its relevance. Wong explained that despite the availability of fast charging, many consumers still prefer to charge their phones overnight and want to minimize daytime charging. He emphasized that charging remains a significant concern for users, who prefer to avoid frequent charging interruptions. The Realme P4 Power aims to alleviate this “battery anxiety” by combining a large battery with 80W fast charging, allowing users to enjoy extended usage without the constant need to recharge.
Wong noted that the combination of a massive battery and fast charging technology provides a perfect solution for users who want to stay connected without the hassle of frequent charging. This approach caters to the growing demand for smartphones that can keep up with the fast-paced lifestyles of modern consumers.
Design Innovations and Form Factor
Despite housing a substantial battery, the Realme P4 Power maintains a surprisingly slim profile, resembling a typical smartphone. Wong highlighted two key design innovations that contributed to this achievement. First, the battery incorporates a silicon-carbon material, increasing the silicon content to 16% compared to the previous generation’s 10%. This higher battery density allows for more efficient use of space within the device.
Additionally, the phone features a Quad-curved display, enhancing its visual appeal and contributing to its sleek design. These innovations demonstrate Realme’s commitment to combining functionality with aesthetics, ensuring that users do not have to compromise on style for performance.
Target Audience and Focus on India
Wong emphasized that the Realme P4 Power is primarily designed for the Indian market. The collaboration with Pearl Academy, a renowned institution in India, reflects the brand’s dedication to understanding local consumer needs. The phone targets heavy smartphone users and young gamers, who often require devices that can handle extensive usage without frequent recharging.
In addition to India, Wong believes the P4 Power will appeal to markets in Southeast Asia and Europe, where consumers also seek smartphones with large batteries. This focus on diverse markets highlights Realme’s strategy to cater to the evolving demands of smartphone users globally.
Pricing Strategy and Future Features
While Wong refrained from disclosing the exact pricing of the Realme P4 Power, he assured consumers that it will remain an online model aimed at providing value for money. He indicated that the phone would be positioned as a mid-range device, ensuring it is accessible to a broad audience without being perceived as overpriced.
When discussing the potential for advanced camera features to be integrated into the P series, Wong expressed optimism. He noted that the collaboration with Ricoh on the flagship GT series is just the beginning, with plans to eventually incorporate premium camera capabilities into the P and number series. This commitment to innovation suggests that Realme is focused on enhancing the overall user experience across its product lineup.
