The formal launch was conducted by Sh. M. Nagaraju, Secretary of the DFS, during an event attended by key banking figures, including the Chairman of the State Bank of India and CEOs from various Nationalized Banks. This comprehensive package aligns with the Government’s vision of achieving Viksit Bharat 2047 and demonstrates a commitment to providing ‘Insurance for All’ by 2047. It offers a consolidated platform for banking and insurance services aimed at Central Government employees across all categories—Group A, B, and C.

The Composite Salary Account Package is structured into three main segments: Banking, Insurance, and Cards, ensuring a holistic financial solution for government employees. Some prominent features of the package include:
Banking Facilities
– A zero-balance salary account with enhanced functionalities.
– Free remittances through RTGS, NEFT, and UPI, alongside traditional cheque facilities.
– Concessional interest rates for loans related to housing, education, vehicles, and personal needs.
– Reduced loan processing charges.
– Waivers on locker rental fees.
– Family banking benefits available for account holders.
Enhanced Insurance Coverage
The insurance aspect of the package promises considerable coverage including:
– Personal Accident Insurance coverage reaching up to Rs. 1.5 crore.
– Air Accident Insurance up to Rs. 2 crores.
– Permanent Total and Partial Disability coverage up to Rs. 1.5 crore.
– In-built term life insurance of up to Rs. 20 lakh, with an option for additional top-ups at a reasonable premium.
