CBFC Edits ‘Kantara Scream’ in Rahu Ketu, Swaps Middle Finger for Pinky

The highly anticipated comedy film Rahu Ketu, featuring a star-studded cast including Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, and Shalini Pandey, is set to hit theaters on January 16. The film recently completed its censor process, receiving a U/A 16+ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). However, the board mandated several changes to the film, including modifications to certain visuals and dialogues, before granting the final approval.

Censor Board’s Modifications

The CBFC’s review of *Rahu Ketu* resulted in a series of required edits aimed at ensuring the film aligns with certification standards. Notably, the board requested the replacement of drug-related visuals with more appropriate shots. Additionally, a specific dialogue was altered, and any depiction of the middle finger was changed to a pinky finger. The board also mandated the removal of all alcohol brand names featured in the film.

Moreover, the filmmakers were instructed to provide an authentication letter for a Sanskrit Shloka included in the script. One of the more notable changes involved the replacement of a “Kantara film music (voom) scream,” which the CBFC deemed inappropriate. Following these adjustments, the film was officially certified on January 12, with a total runtime of 139 minutes and 40 seconds.
