K. Lalremruata was participating in a Khaled Memorial 2nd Division Screening Tournament match when he suddenly collapsed on the field. The match was being held between Venghnuai Raiders CC and Chawnpui ILMOV CC. Witnesses reported that Lalremruata received prompt medical assistance and was rushed to a nearby facility. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save him, and he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
