RajaSaab Bookings Still on Hold as Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic Show-Sharing Talks Stall

The highly anticipated film The RajaSaab, featuring popular actor Prabhas, is set to hit theaters tomorrow, January 9. However, ticket bookings for the film have not yet fully opened, particularly in major national cinema chains across the Hindi belt. Trade sources indicate that ongoing negotiations between distributors and theater chains are causing delays in the booking process, raising concerns as the release date approaches.

Booking Delays Due to Negotiations

As of now, ticket sales for *The RajaSaab* have only begun in single-screen cinemas and smaller independent chains. Major national chains, including Miraj and Maxus cinemas, have yet to initiate bookings for the film, as well as for other releases. According to a trade source, the distributors of *The RajaSaab*, AA Films, are in discussions with these chains to secure a significant number of showings for another film, *Toxic*, which stars Yash. The negotiations have reached an impasse, as theater chains are hesitant to agree to the demands due to the upcoming clash with *Dhurandhar 2*, which is expected to perform exceptionally well at the box office.

The source explained that the theater chains are reluctant to compromise on their current arrangements, especially since *Dhurandhar 2* is still running successfully in cinemas. They recognize the potential of *Toxic* to attract audiences, especially following the release of its teaser, but they are unwilling to make concessions that could negatively impact *Dhurandhar 2*. This deadlock has left the booking situation in limbo, but it is anticipated that a resolution will be reached by Thursday evening, allowing for full-scale ticket sales.

Hyderabad’s Unique Challenges

In Hyderabad, the situation is further complicated by a disagreement between the film’s producers and the Telangana government regarding ticket pricing for *The RajaSaab*. Reports indicate that the government had initially opposed a proposed increase in ticket prices. Fortunately for the filmmakers, the Telangana High Court granted them relief just a day before the film’s release, paving the way for potential ticket sales.

Sources in the region suggest that a government order regarding ticket pricing is expected by Thursday evening. Once this order is issued, it is likely that ticket sales will commence in Hyderabad as well. The anticipation surrounding the film remains high, with expectations that ticket sales will mirror the enthusiasm seen in other regions.

Paid Previews and Early Sales

Interestingly, *The RajaSaab* will feature paid previews starting tonight at 9:00 PM. These previews have already begun selling tickets, which are reportedly selling out quickly across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with the exception of Hyderabad. The strong demand for tickets in these areas indicates a promising start for the film, suggesting that once bookings open in Hyderabad, they will likely experience a similar surge in sales.

The excitement surrounding the film is palpable, and early indicators suggest that *The RajaSaab* could achieve a remarkable opening, particularly in its original Telugu version. As the release date approaches, all eyes will be on how the ticket sales unfold and whether the anticipated challenges can be resolved in time.

Looking Ahead

As the clock ticks down to the release of *The RajaSaab*, the film’s producers and distributors are keenly aware that both parties stand to lose if advance ticket sales remain stalled. With the resolution of negotiations and the expected government order in Telangana, the stage is set for what could be a blockbuster opening. Fans and industry insiders alike are eagerly awaiting the film’s debut, hoping for a successful launch that lives up to the hype surrounding Prabhas’s latest project.
