Indusfood 2026 Set to Showcase Global Food Trade Potential

The 9th edition of Indusfood 2026, India’s premier global sourcing exhibition for food and beverages, is set to take place from January 8 to 10, 2026, at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida. Organized by the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), this much-anticipated event aims to reinforce India’s reputation as a reliable partner in the global food supply chain.

Branded as Asia’s leading food and beverage trade show, Indusfood 2026 will unite prominent Indian food producers, international buyers, policymakers, and industry leaders on a single platform aimed at fostering trade collaborations. The gathering seeks to create bilateral engagements and lay the groundwork for long-term partnerships in the food and beverage sector.

Official Launch and Highlights

The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Shri Chirag Paswan. His participation underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing India’s food processing ecosystem, boosting export competitiveness, and expanding access to global markets for Indian food products.

A notable feature of Indusfood 2026 will be the introduction of the India–UAE Food Corridor, spearheaded by the Abu Dhabi Food Hub. This initiative is aimed at boosting food security, optimizing supply chains, and accelerating trade flows between the two nations. Additionally, Alsalan, a Saudi Arabian exhibitor, will celebrate 75 years in the food trade, marking a significant cultural and commercial milestone that emphasizes the strengthening ties between Saudi Arabia and India.

Global Participation and Business Engagement

Participation is expected from over 120 countries, including thousands of vetted global buyers and numerous high-profile international trade delegations. Indusfood 2026 will feature specialized business and logistics platforms, like a dedicated ‘Bharat Mart’ session hosted by DP World, designed to strengthen export infrastructure and foster discussions on logistics integration and policy enhancement.

The event will also host the inaugural World Culinary Heritage Conference, where renowned chefs, policymakers, and industry experts will engage in discussions around culinary heritage preservation and innovation.

Skill Development and Culinary Diplomacy

Skill development and culinary leadership will be vocal points, with the India International Centre for Culinary Leadership (IICCL), in partnership with IFCA, offering a five-day residential program aimed at 150 chefs. This initiative will provide training and certification as ‘Ambassadors of Indian Cuisine’ at a Level 1 certification.

The ‘India on a Platter’ Gala Dinner, hosted at Taj Palace by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, will further highlight high-level cultural interactions, inviting ministers, ambassadors, and global buyers to experience India’s rich culinary offerings.

Innovative Showcases and Networking Opportunities

Indusfood 2026 will feature international tasting sessions showcasing diverse culinary delights, including a Cheese and Wine Tasting event presented by Cyprus. The exhibition will also include APEDA’s ‘Bharati Initiative,’ offering a platform for innovative Indian agri-food startups, modeled on the popular Shark Tank format.

To facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration, engagements with industry bodies such as FIFI, FHRAI, and KSBA will be arranged, promoting networking opportunities among sector leaders.

With global demand surging for safe, sustainable, and ethically sourced food, Indusfood 2026 represents a vital platform that connects Indian producers to international markets. By focusing on innovation, sustainability, and export-led growth, the exhibition is anticipated to catalyze the next phase of India’s food trade expansion, creating new opportunities for collaboration and investment across the globe.
