Mahindra Tractors Achieve Impressive 37% Growth in Domestic Sales for December 2025
Chandigarh, January 01, 2026 – Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) has reported significant growth in tractor sales for December 2025, showcasing the brand’s strong position in the agricultural sector.
Record Sales Figures
In December 2025, Mahindra sold a total of 30,210 tractors in the domestic market, up from 22,019 units sold in December 2024. This marks a remarkable growth of 37% year-on-year.
Comprehensive Sales Overview
Combining domestic and export figures, total tractor sales in December reached 31,859 units, a significant increase from 22,943 units during the same month the previous year, which equates to a growth of 39%. Particularly notable was the robust performance in exports, where sales soared to 1,649 tractors, reflecting an impressive 78% increase compared to last year’s 924 units.
Factors Driving Growth
According to Veejay Nakra, President of Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business, the surge in sales is attributed to improving cash flow availability in the market, bolstered by favorable crop yields following the Kharif harvest. Additionally, conducive weather conditions and healthy reservoir levels have spurred an increase in Rabi sowing acreage, which are anticipated to sustain tractor demand in the upcoming months.
Year-to-Date Insights
For the year-to-date, domestic sales reached 391,890 units, representing a 21% increase from 324,327 units in the previous year. Export figures also exhibited a positive trend, with 14,702 tractors exported so far this fiscal year, up 20% from last year’s 12,296 units.
