Axis Bank and Google Pay Introduce Innovative FLEX Credit Card

In a significant collaboration aimed at enhancing the digital payment landscape in India, Axis Bank and Google Pay have jointly launched the Google Pay Flex Axis Bank Credit Card. This UPI-driven, co-branded credit card is designed to meet the evolving financial needs of Indian consumers, offering a seamless digital experience right within the Google Pay app.

Empowering Consumers with Ease of Use

The Google Pay Flex Axis Bank Credit Card stands out as the inaugural product under the new FLEX initiative by Google, which aims to simplify credit offerings for users. Built on the secure RuPay network, this card allows users to apply digitally in just a few minutes without the need for any physical paperwork. This digital-first approach is set to revolutionize the way credit cards are utilized, making everyday transactions as effortless as UPI payments.

Instant Rewards and Flexible Payment Options

One of the standout features of the Flex card is its instant rewards system. Users can earn points with each transaction, redeemable immediately, thus ensuring they gain value from their spending without waiting until month-end. Moreover, the card provides flexible repayment options that allow users to manage their credit card bills conveniently—either by paying in full or converting expenditures into EMIs directly through the Google Pay app.

Quote from Axis Bank and Google Executives

Arnika Dixit, President & Head at Axis Bank, expressed enthusiasm over the partnership, highlighting how the Flex card is designed to cater to the preferences of digital-savvy consumers. Similarly, Sharath Bulusu from Google Pay emphasized the importance of simplifying financial products to make them more accessible, especially in the context of growing digital payment adoption in India.

Launch and Availability

Starting today, the Google Pay Flex Axis Bank Credit Card is being rolled out, with a broader launch expected in the coming months. Prospective users can join a waitlist directly in the Google Pay app, making it easy for them to be among the first to experience this innovative credit solution.
