Under this new regulation, airlines are prohibited from charging more than ₹7,500 for routes up to 500 kilometers, ₹12,000 for distances between 500 and 1,000 kilometers, ₹15,000 for routes ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 kilometers, and ₹18,000 for flights exceeding 1,500 kilometers. It is important to note that these fare caps do not include applicable User Development Fees (UDF), Passenger Service Fees (PSF), and taxes, and they do not apply to Business Class or RCS-UDAN flights.

The fare restrictions will remain in effect until prices normalize or until further government review.
