Google Launches Workspace Studio for Custom AI Agent Creation to Automate Daily Tasks
Google has introduced an innovative feature named Workspace Studio, designed to empower users to create custom Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents that automate everyday tasks. This new tool aims to streamline daily routines, allowing users to bypass repetitive chores and focus on more complex responsibilities. By leveraging Google’s Gemini 3 AI module, Workspace Studio offers enhanced customization options, making it easier for users to tailor commands to their specific needs.
Overview of Google Workspace Studio
Workspace Studio is built on the capabilities of Google’s Gemini 3 AI module, which enhances its functionality and customization. Users can easily activate their AI agents through a shortcut located next to the Gemini icon in major Workspace applications. The feature is accessible via a dedicated dashboard at studio.workspace.google.com. Google Director Derek Snyder announced the launch on social media, emphasizing the simplicity of the tool. He stated, “Stop doing ‘work about work’. Today, we launched Google Workspace Studio. It brings AI Agents to your everyday work. No more complex coding. No more ‘if-this-then-that’ bots. You simply describe a job and the Agent makes it happen.”
The AI agents are designed to recognize when action is needed, such as upon receiving an email. They can interpret the content and intent of the message, executing tasks based on user-defined instructions. This functionality aims to alleviate the burden of mundane tasks, enabling users to concentrate on more specialized activities that require human insight.
Expanding AI Capabilities at Google
Google has been actively enhancing its suite of AI applications, with Workspace Studio being the latest addition. The company’s primary AI engine, Gemini 3, continues to evolve, offering users a range of tools that harness the power of artificial intelligence. Various Google applications now incorporate AI features, including translation services, speech-to-text conversion, natural language processing, and video intelligence, all available at no cost to users.
In addition to these general applications, Google offers specialized tools such as NotebookLM, which can summarize data in various formats. Vertex AI enables users to generate text, chat, and code for a nominal fee, while Gemini Code Assist serves as a writing aid. With a total of 13 AI applications launched, Google provides a diverse array of services, from text generation to the development of virtual agents, catering to a wide range of user needs.
