Scene 1: Difficult Questions About Love and Loyalty
Sanjhbati decided to ask Rishi a direct question about his feelings toward his wife. “Do you still love Aditi the way you used to?” she inquired, wanting to understand the true state of his marriage. Rishi answered honestly about his current relationship with his wife. “Yes, I still have love for Aditi,” he confirmed. “My feelings for her have not completely disappeared despite everything that has happened between us.” This response prompted Sanjhbati to ask about the contradiction in his emotions. “If you still have feelings for Aditi, then how did you develop such strong feelings for Jhanak?” she questioned.
“How can you love two women at the same time?” Rishi tried to explain the complexity of his emotional situation. “My feelings for Jhanak are completely genuine and real,” he said. “I cannot deny or ignore what I feel for her, even though I am married to someone else.” Sanjhbati pointed out the practical reality of his marital status. “You are staying with Aditi because she is your legal wife,” she observed. “But this situation must be very confusing and painful for everyone involved.” She then asked about whether he had been honest with his wife about his feelings. “Have you ever told Aditi that you love Jhanak?” she wanted to know. “Does she understand the true nature of your feelings?”
Rishi revealed that he had been selective about sharing his emotions. “I have only shared these feelings with you,” he admitted. “I have not been completely honest with Aditi about the depth of my feelings for Jhanak.” Sanjhbati tried to give Rishi some practical advice about managing this complicated situation. “You should not hurt either Jhanak or Aditi with your confused feelings,” she warned him. “Both women deserve better than being caught in this emotional triangle.” She then suggested a decisive course of action. “If you can manage to do it, you should end everything with Jhanak completely,” she recommended. “Aditi is your wife, and she cannot be expected to tolerate another woman in your life.”
However, Rishi revealed the emotional obstacle that prevented him from following this advice. “I cannot bear to see Jhanak sad or suffering,” he confessed. “The thought of causing her pain makes it impossible for me to walk away from her.” Sanjhbati urged him to consider Jhanak’s independence and right to make her own choices. “You should let Jhanak live her life the way she wants to,” she advised. “Don’t complicate her future with your unresolved feelings and confusion.” She then warned him about the consequences of continuing this emotional entanglement. “You need to stop making everything more complicated than it already is,” she said firmly. Despite this advice, Rishi felt trapped by his emotions and unable to change his feelings.
Scene 2: Family Confrontations and Recorded Evidence
Meanwhile, at home, Aditi was seeking information from Mishti about what had happened at the college during the committee meeting. “Tell me exactly what occurred during the meeting today,” she requested. “I want to understand how Rishi behaved and what decisions were made.” Mishti provided a detailed account of the events that had upset her. “Rishi came to the college with Sanjhbati to support Jhanak,” she reported. “They both defended her throughout the entire meeting, and I recorded everything that happened on my phone.” This news prompted Putul to criticize Mishti’s behavior during the meeting.
“You should not have been causing problems for Jhanak when she was already in trouble,” she scolded. However, Neelu defended Mishti’s actions and criticized Putul’s perspective. “Mishti did nothing wrong by trying to expose the truth,” she argued. “You faced a similar problem in your own marriage, yet you still don’t understand what Aditi is going through right now.” Tanushri tried to assert her authority over the family discussion. “This matter involves my son, so I should be the one to handle the situation,” she declared. “Others should not interfere in our family decisions.”
Mishti then played the recording she had made of the committee meeting for everyone to hear. “Listen to how Rishi and Sanjhbati defended Jhanak against all the accusations,” she said as she started the audio. After hearing the recording, Aditi became extremely upset and made a dramatic announcement. “I want to go back to my parents’ home, and I don’t want anyone to try to stop me,” she declared. “Rishi accepted Jhanak as his wife in front of everyone, but he has been lying to me about their relationship.” Mishti added more disturbing information about what she had observed. “I don’t want to go back to college after this humiliation,” she said. “After the official meeting ended, Jhanak talked to Rishi alone, and they had a private conversation.” Neelu suggested that Mishti should have warned Jhanak about potential consequences.
“You should have advised Jhanak to be more careful about her actions,” she said. However, Mishti defended her position by criticizing Jhanak’s attitude. “Jhanak doesn’t care about anyone else’s feelings or the problems she causes,” she replied. “Even Ayush always comes to protect her at college, and now Rishi also attended the meeting specifically to defend her.” She then expressed her embarrassment about returning to college. “I can’t face anyone at college after seeing how both Ayush and Rishi rushed to support Jhanak,” she complained.
Scene 3: Marriage Ultimatums and Family Disputes
Aditi continued expressing her frustration with the entire situation surrounding her marriage. “I cannot tolerate all of this emotional confusion and dishonesty anymore,” she declared. “That’s exactly why I want to leave this house and return to my family.” Indumati tried to remind Aditi of her legal status and responsibilities. “You are Rishi’s wife according to law and society,” she pointed out. “You cannot simply abandon your marriage because of temporary problems.” Abhimanyu offered to mediate the situation by speaking directly with Rishi. “I will have a conversation with Rishi to understand his perspective and help resolve this conflict,” he volunteered. Putul attempted to provide a more balanced view of the situation.
“What happened at college was clearly a trap designed to harm Jhanak,” she explained. “That’s why both Rishi and Sanjhbati felt compelled to defend her against false accusations.” She then criticized the family’s continued blame toward Jhanak. “Despite knowing it was a trap, you are all still blaming Jhanak for the problems that occurred,” she observed. This comment triggered an angry response from Aditi, who made a personal attack on Putul’s own marriage. “You could not manage your own marriage life successfully,” she said cruelly. “So now you cannot stand to see others leading happy married lives.”
This personal attack prompted Putul to defend herself and set boundaries. “Please do not bring up my personal life in this discussion,” she requested firmly. “My husband was wrong in his behavior, and my situation was completely different from what is happening here.” Aditi then made accusations about Rishi’s motivations for attending the college meeting. “Rishi specifically took Sanjhbati to college because he wanted to support Jhanak,” she claimed. “This was not about his responsibilities as a guardian, but about his personal feelings for her.” At that moment, Rishi arrived home and immediately confronted Mishti about her behavior. “I am ashamed to say that you are my sister,” he told her angrily. “Your actions at college were completely inappropriate and harmful.” Tanushri questioned Rishi’s priorities and loyalties.
“Why did you support Jhanak instead of supporting your own sister Mishti?” she demanded. “Family should come first in such situations.” Aditi decided to force Rishi to make a clear choice about his future. “You need to make a decision about what you want,” she told him directly. “I cannot continue living in this uncertainty and confusion.”
Scene 4: Accusations and Manipulative Phone Calls
Rishi tried to understand what specific actions Aditi was criticizing. “What exactly did I do wrong?” he asked with confusion. “I was only trying to help someone who was in trouble.” Aditi explained her primary complaint about his public statements. “You said in front of everyone at the college that Jhanak was your wife,” she accused. “But in the past, you always said you never accepted your marriage with Jhanak, so it seems like you were lying to me.” Abhimanyu added his concern about the family’s reputation. “Rishi doesn’t seem to care about how his actions affect our family’s standing in the community,” he observed.
Aditi then questioned Rishi’s motivations for attending the college meeting in the first place. “Why did you go to college today?” she demanded. “What was your real reason for being there?” Rishi explained his official responsibilities and obligations. “I am Jhanak’s guardian, so the college administration called me to attend the meeting,” he said. “When I learned that something wrong had happened to Jhanak, I felt obligated to help her.” Aditi responded with sarcasm about his constant involvement in Jhanak’s problems. “Were you born specifically to help Jhanak with all her troubles?” she asked mockingly. “You are my husband, and I cannot allow you to constantly think about other women.” She then emphasized her expectations for their marriage. “We should be each other’s top priority,” she insisted. “Everything else should come second to our relationship.”
Rishi tried to reassure Aditi about his commitment to their marriage while also defending his right to help others. “We are married, and I am taking proper care of you,” he pointed out. “Being your husband doesn’t mean I cannot take responsibility for other people who need help.” Tanushri questioned why Rishi had brought Sanjhbati to the college meeting. “Why did you take Sanjhbati with you?” she asked. “What was her role in this situation?” Rishi explained Sanjhbati’s legitimate involvement in the proceedings. “Sanjhbati came to college as a witness to testify about what really happened,” he clarified. He then expressed his disapproval of Mishti’s actions. “I am ashamed of what Mishti did at college,” he said.
“How could she lock Jhanak and Ayush in a room together?” Neelu criticized Rishi for not understanding his wife’s emotional pain. “You are not able to see how much Aditi is suffering,” she pointed out. “You are so focused on Jhanak that you’re ignoring your own marriage.” Aditi accused Rishi of being dishonest and unfaithful. “You are not doing anything except lying and betraying me,” she said with anger. Rishi challenged this accusation with a logical response. “If I were truly a betrayer, many other things would have happened by now,” he replied. Aditi then gave Rishi an ultimatum about his relationship with Jhanak. “You have 24 hours to decide whether you will end everything with Jhanak or not,” she announced. “I cannot continue living with this uncertainty.” Rishi made his position clear with his response.
“My decision is already clear,” he said firmly. “I will go to help Jhanak whenever she is in trouble, regardless of the consequences.” Later that evening, Jhanak’s roommate asked her about her past relationship. “Why did your ex-husband leave you?” she inquired nosily. Jhanak refused to discuss this personal matter. “Please don’t ask me about all of this,” she requested. “I don’t want to talk about my past relationships.” She then fell asleep, exhausted from the emotional stress of the day. However, Mishti had planned another scheme to create problems between Rishi and Aditi. She called Jhanak’s roommate with specific instructions. “I want you to give a missed call to Rishi’s number using Jhanak’s phone,” she requested. “This will make it look like Jhanak is trying to contact him.”
The roommate agreed to participate in this deceptive plan. When Aditi saw the missed call from Jhanak on Rishi’s phone, she became extremely upset. “I can’t even sleep peacefully now because of Jhanak’s constant interference,” she complained to Rishi. “She’s always trying to contact you.” Rishi denied any responsibility for the phone call. “I did not call Jhanak,” he insisted. “I have no idea why her number appeared on my phone.” The next day, Aditi demanded that Rishi call Jhanak to find out why she had contacted him. When Rishi called and asked Jhanak about the previous night’s call, she was confused. “I did not call you yesterday,” she replied honestly. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
Aditi then snatched the phone from Rishi and began scolding Jhanak directly. “Why do you keep trying to come between me and my husband?” she demanded angrily. “You learned this manipulative behavior from Nutan, didn’t you?”
