Scene 1: Truth Emerges in the Committee Room

Sanjhbati addressed the committee members with important testimony about the events surrounding Jhanak’s situation. “I want everyone to know that I took Jhanak to my house immediately after the Freshers Day event concluded,” she stated clearly. “Later, Rishi dropped her off at the college, which is when the incident in question took place.” The professor who was present during the hearing also provided crucial support for Jhanak’s case. “Regarding the protest issue that has been mentioned, Jhanak was completely innocent and did nothing wrong,” he declared firmly. “If this committee tries to blame Jhanak for that protest, I will have no choice but to involve Indrani in this matter to ensure justice is served.”

Rishi acknowledged that there were still gaps in the timeline that needed to be addressed. “Only Jhanak herself can tell us exactly what happened at the college after I dropped her off,” he pointed out. “She is the only person who was there for the entire sequence of events.” Mishti decided to speak up and provide her version of what had occurred during the party. “I was present at the event, and I can confirm that alcohol was permitted and available during the celebration,” she said, trying to support her earlier claims. However, the professor immediately challenged the students about this alcohol policy. “Who exactly gave the student union members permission to bring alcoholic beverages inside the college premises?” he demanded to know.

“This is a serious violation of college rules if no proper authorization was obtained.” The student union members who were present remained completely silent, unable or unwilling to provide an answer to this important question. Jhanak then provided her own detailed account of what had happened during the party that led to her current predicament. “I did not detect any smell of alcohol coming from the juice that the students offered me,” she explained honestly. “Mishti and her friends approached me during the celebration and asked me to become their friend.” She continued explaining the circumstances that led to her drinking the spiked beverage.

“I was so happy and excited that they wanted to accept me as their friend that I drank the juice without thinking about anything else,” she admitted. “I trusted them completely because I thought they were being genuine in their friendship offer.” Rishi decided to address the personal aspects of Jhanak’s earlier statements during the incident. “Jhanak spoke the truth when she was in a drunken state about our past marriage,” he confirmed to the committee. “However, we are now legally separated, and this is a personal matter between us that others should not interfere with or judge.”

Sanjhbati questioned why the college administration was making such a big issue out of Jhanak’s personal statements. “Why does the college have a problem with what Jhanak said about her personal life?” she asked pointedly. “The college cannot and should not take any legal action against a student for making personal statements, especially when she was not in a normal state of mind.”

Scene 2: Evidence and Witness Testimony

Rishi shifted the focus to the most crucial aspect of the case by asking about the locked room. “Who was responsible for locking the door from the outside?” he questioned the committee. “This is the most important evidence in this case because it proves that Jhanak and Ayush were deliberately trapped inside.” He then revealed important witness testimony that supported this theory. “The college sweeper witnessed that the door was locked from the outside, which means someone planned this entire situation deliberately.” When a committee member questioned how Rishi knew about this witness, he explained his authority in the matter.

“I am a police officer, so I conducted a proper investigation into this case,” he stated. “I have collected evidence and testimony according to legal procedures.” He then called upon his witness to provide direct testimony. “Sweeper Shyam, please tell the committee exactly what you observed that night,” Rishi requested. Shyam provided clear and damaging testimony against Mishti and her friends. “I saw that the door was definitely locked from the outside,” he confirmed. “A few students gave me the key and told me to unlock the door the next morning.” Rishi asked Shyam to identify the students who had given him the key. “Please look at the people in this room and point out who gave you the key,” he instructed. Shyam carefully examined the faces and then pointed directly at one of Mishti’s friends.

“That student right there was the one who handed me the key,” he said with certainty. “And I remember clearly that Mishti was also present during this conversation.” Mishti immediately tried to defend herself against this accusation. “The door was already open when I arrived at that location,” she claimed. “I had nothing to do with locking anyone inside.” However, Rishi was not interested in hearing her lies and contradictions. “Be quiet and stop making false statements,” he told her firmly. “The evidence and witness testimony clearly contradict your version of events.”

Sanjhbati summarized what the evidence revealed about the true nature of the incident. “It is now clear that the students plotted deliberately to ruin both Jhanak and Ayush’s reputations,” she declared. “They created a dangerous situation where anything could have happened to these two innocent students trapped inside the room.” Rishi decided to issue a warning to all the students involved in this conspiracy. “If I decide to pursue legal action in this case, I have enough evidence to arrest several students for conspiracy and false imprisonment,” he warned them. “The choice is yours whether you want this to become a criminal matter.” He then turned to the committee members to demand a resolution. “I expect this committee to make a fair decision based on the evidence that has been presented here today,” he said.

Scene 3: Apologies and Personal Confessions

After the committee hearing concluded, Jhanak approached Rishi to express her regret about the consequences of the situation. “You had to face public humiliation and embarrassment because of me,” she said sadly. “I’m sorry that my problems have caused you to be insulted and criticized.” Rishi realized that his earlier behavior toward Jhanak had been inappropriate and unfair. “I need to apologize to you for pushing you during our confrontation,” he said sincerely. “I should not have used physical force against you, regardless of how angry I was feeling.” He then explained what had triggered his emotional reaction. “I lost control of my temper when I learned that you were alone in a room with Ayush,” he admitted.

“The thought of you being in that situation made me act irrationally.” Sanjhbati provided her perspective on what had really happened to Jhanak. “This was clearly a trap that was set specifically to harm you,” she told Jhanak. “Mishti was definitely involved in planning this scheme, and I intend to have a serious conversation with her about her actions.” Jhanak continued to blame herself for the problems that had arisen from the incident. “I always seem to make mistakes that lead to getting scolded by people,” she said with self-criticism. “This pattern keeps repeating in my life, and I don’t know how to break it.” Rishi took responsibility for his inappropriate response to the situation. “I should not have behaved toward you the way I did,” he acknowledged. “My anger does not excuse treating you badly or making assumptions about what happened.”

Sanjhbati tried to encourage Jhanak to stop dwelling on negative thoughts and focus on her future. “Don’t feel bad about yourself or blame yourself for what others did to you,” she advised kindly. “You should concentrate on your studies and building a successful career for yourself.” She then offered ongoing support for Jhanak’s academic journey. “You will always have my support and assistance whenever you need it,” she promised. “You don’t have to face these challenges alone.” Sanjhbati then made an observation about Rishi’s motivations for getting involved in the case. “Jhanak is clearly very important to Rishi, which is why he came here to support you during this difficult time,” she pointed out. “His actions show how much he cares about your wellbeing.” As a gesture of care and support, she handed Jhanak a tiffin box filled with homemade food.

Scene 4: Threats and Relationship Questions

Mishti and her friends observed this supportive interaction between Sanjhbati, Rishi, and Jhanak from a distance. Priyanshi questioned Mishti about the unexpected turn of events. “Why did Rishi come here to support Jhanak instead of condemning her?” she asked with confusion. “This was not what we expected to happen when we planned this scheme.” She then suggested that they needed to take more serious action against Jhanak. “We should teach Jhanak a lesson for managing to turn both Rishi and Sanjhbati against you,” she proposed.

“She can’t be allowed to get away with manipulating people like this.” Mishti agreed that Jhanak needed to face consequences for disrupting their plans. “We will definitely deal with Jhanak when we can catch her alone without any protection,” she promised darkly. “She is clearly trying to break up my family relationships, and I won’t allow that to continue.” After Sanjhbati left the college, Rishi approached Jhanak for a private conversation about their complicated relationship. “Don’t you understand what I represent in your life based on my actions today?” he asked her directly. “My behavior should make it clear how I feel about you.”

Jhanak responded with honest confusion about his mixed signals. “I don’t understand anything about what you want from me,” she replied. “If you have something to say, please just speak directly instead of making me guess.” Rishi addressed the contradiction between her public and private statements about their relationship. “You said that I am your husband when you were drunk and not thinking clearly,” he pointed out. “But you cannot say the same thing when you are sober and in control of your thoughts.” He then expressed his frustration about the undefined nature of their connection.

“Our relationship doesn’t have any clear name or status,” he said with resignation. “We exist in some kind of limbo that neither of us knows how to navigate.” After making this statement, Rishi left Jhanak standing alone to think about his words. Mishti and her friends immediately approached Jhanak to confront her about what they perceived as her manipulation tactics. “Do you think you can win this fight by using Sanjhbati and Rishi as your weapons?” Mishti demanded angrily. “You’re trying to turn influential people against us to protect yourself.” Jhanak defended herself by pointing out who had actually started the conflict. “You and your friends were the ones who started this fight by trapping me and Ayush,” she reminded them.

“I never called Rishi to come to the college or asked for anyone’s help.” She then clarified her position on accepting support from others. “I am prepared to fight my own battles independently,” she declared. “But I will not stop Rishi and Sanjhbati from supporting me if they choose to do so on their own.” Mishti made another accusation about Jhanak’s ultimate goals. “I know that your real intention is to break up and destroy my family,” she claimed. “You’re using this situation to create permanent damage to our relationships.” Jhanak corrected this assumption about her motivations. “All I want is to prove my innocence in this matter,” she said simply. “I have no interest in harming your family or anyone else.”

At that moment, Ayush arrived and saw what was happening. “Stop troubling Jhanak and leave her alone,” he told Mishti and her friends firmly. “She has been through enough because of your schemes.” Mishti told Ayush not to interfere in her personal conflict with Jhanak. “This is between me and her, so don’t get involved,” she warned him. However, Jhanak also asked Ayush to step back. “Please don’t fight for me or get involved in this conflict,” she requested. “I can handle this situation myself.”

Meanwhile, Sanjhbati was having her own conversation with Rishi about his complicated personal relationships. “What about your wife Aditi?” she asked him pointedly. “How does she fit into all of this emotional confusion you’re experiencing?” Rishi acknowledged his legal obligations to his current wife. “Aditi is my wife according to the law and society,” he replied. “I cannot ignore that reality.” Sanjhbati expressed her concerns about Jhanak’s uncertain future. “I am worried about what will happen to Jhanak in the long term,” she confided. “She needs stability and security in her life.” Rishi outlined what he saw as Jhanak’s likely path forward. “Jhanak will complete her medical education and become a doctor, then return to her village to practice medicine,” he predicted. “She will build a successful and independent life for herself.”

However, Sanjhbati pointed out an important aspect of Jhanak’s future that needed consideration. “Jhanak should get married and have a family of her own eventually,” she suggested. “Since you are already married to Aditi, she needs to find someone else who can give her the love and companionship she deserves.” This comment highlighted the difficult reality of Rishi’s situation. “I am confused about what I should do or how I should feel,” he admitted honestly. Sanjhbati decided to ask him a direct question that got to the heart of the matter. “Do you still love Aditi the way a husband should love his wife?” she questioned him.
