UIDAI Unveils New Aadhaar App for Secure Data Management and Profile Sharing
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has unveiled a new Aadhaar mobile application designed for both Android and iOS users. This innovative app aims to enhance the management of digital identities, allowing residents to securely store, access, and share their Aadhaar information. Key Features of the New Aadhaar App
The newly launched Aadhaar app introduces several key features that simplify the management of multiple Aadhaar profiles. Users can link up to five profiles to a single mobile number, making it easier for families to manage Aadhaar details for each member from one device. The app allows users to view their Aadhaar information on-screen and share it securely using QR codes or verifiable credentials, eliminating the need for physical copies.
Additionally, the app incorporates advanced verification methods, including face authentication and QR-code-based checks. This functionality enables users to verify their Aadhaar at various service points, such as hotels and shops, without the hassle of printing documents. Setting Up the New Aadhaar App
To get started with the new Aadhaar app, users can download it from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Users are encouraged to download the official app, developed by UIDAI, and to set strong passwords while enabling biometric security features.
