National Conclave on Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan 2025 Focuses on Grassroots Governance
Under the auspices of the Viksit Bharat initiative led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs is set to host the National Conclave on Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan on October 17, 2025, at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. This significant event aims to enhance citizen-led governance in India. The Honorable President of India will attend as the Chief Guest, alongside various dignitaries, including Union Ministers and representatives from tribal communities nationwide. The conclave is part of the Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh, a year-long celebration recognizing the contributions and resilience of India’s tribal populations.
Focus on Tribal Village Vision 2030
A central theme of the conclave will be the development of the “Tribal Village Vision 2030.” This initiative seeks to establish comprehensive policy inputs and implementation strategies derived from extensive consultations with tribal communities. Over 50,000 Village Action Plans will serve as the foundation for this vision, aiming to address the unique needs and aspirations of tribal villages. The conclave will feature five thematic groups focusing on critical areas: Education and Skill Development, Health and Nutrition, Livelihood and Entrepreneurship, Infrastructure, and Governance and Institutional Strengthening. Each group will be led by senior officials, ensuring that discussions are guided by experienced leaders in their respective fields.
Recognition of Outstanding Performers
The conclave will also include a Recognition Ceremony to honor exemplary performers within the Ministry’s flagship programs. Awards will be presented to the best-performing ministries, states, and districts under initiatives such as PM-JANMAN, Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan, and Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan. This recognition aims to celebrate transformative actions and inspire further excellence in service delivery. The Ministry emphasizes the importance of replicating successful models and fostering innovation at the grassroots level, reinforcing its commitment to empowering tribal communities.
Empowering Tribal Communities through Action Plans
In conjunction with the Adi Sewa Parv on October 2, 2025, Special Gram Sabhas will adopt the Tribal Village Vision 2030 Action Plan. This plan allows each tribal village to create a tailored development roadmap aligned with the national goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047. Key features of the plan include community-led planning, prioritization of local needs in education and health, and integration with existing government schemes. To date, over 56,000 Tribal Village Vision 2030 Action Plans have been developed, and more than 53,000 Adi Sewa Kendras have been established to facilitate citizen services.
Advancing Governance through Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan
Launched by Prime Minister Modi on September 17, 2025, the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan represents a significant effort to cultivate grassroots leadership among tribal populations. The initiative has trained over 2 million individuals, focusing on enhancing governance processes and ensuring effective service delivery in tribal areas. The conclave will serve as a platform for translating the aspirations of the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan into actionable outcomes.
