Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi Leads ‘MSME Seva Parv-2025: Virasat se Vikas’ in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is hosting the MSME Seva Parv-2025 event from September 28 to 30, 2025, in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The event, themed “Virasat se Vikas,” aims to unite communities and individuals in a celebration of cultural heritage and service. Union Minister of MSME, Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, inaugurated the event, which features an exhibition showcasing products from local artisans and craftspeople, highlighting the importance of the MSME sector in job creation and economic empowerment.

Event Highlights and Inauguration

The MSME Seva Parv-2025 kicked off with a grand inauguration led by Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, the Union Minister of MSME. The event took place at the Rudraksh International Cooperation & Convention Centre and was attended by various dignitaries, including Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, the Union Minister of State for MSME, and Shri Manoj Kumar, Chairman of the Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC). The gathering aimed to foster a spirit of service and cultural pride among participants. During the event, Shri Manjhi inaugurated a three-day exhibition featuring 130 stalls, where local artisans showcased and sold their handmade products. This initiative not only promotes local craftsmanship but also supports the livelihoods of artisans in the region.

Significance of MSME Sector

In his address, Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi emphasized the critical role of the MSME sector in India’s economy. He noted that this sector is a significant contributor to job creation and economic empowerment. “Strengthening the MSME sector is essential, as it serves as a vital medium for generating employment and empowering our people,” he stated. The Minister highlighted various initiatives such as Udyam Registration, PMEGP, CGTMSE, and NSSH, which aim to support beneficiaries through training, toolkits, and access to loans. These programs are designed to enhance the capabilities of entrepreneurs and ensure sustainable growth within the sector.

Government Initiatives and Future Goals

Union Minister of State for MSME, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, also addressed the audience, reiterating the government’s commitment to realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of promoting Swadeshi and empowering the MSME sector. She stated, “The MSME sector plays a crucial role as a major driver of job creation.” Karandlaje underscored the importance of Udyam registration and the contributions of MSMEs to the nation’s GDP and exports. She also highlighted the Ministry’s initiatives, including PM Vishwakarma and PMEGP, which aim to foster entrepreneurship and build a developed India.

Community Engagement and Activities

The MSME Seva Parv-2025 attracted over 1,500 beneficiaries from various MSME schemes, including the Prime Ministerโ€™s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and the National SC/ST Hub Scheme. The event featured a welcome address by Shri Vipul Goel, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of MSME, and a special address by Shri S.C.L. Das, Secretary of the Ministry. Additionally, the event included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KVIC and the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) to enhance marketing efforts. Participants also received loan certificates and toolkits, further supporting their entrepreneurial endeavors. A Swachhata Karyakram was held at NamoGhat to promote community service and cleanliness, reinforcing the event’s commitment to social responsibility.
