Asus Unveils Vivobook 14 Featuring Snapdragon X in India

Asus has officially launched the Vivobook 14 (X1407QA) in India, featuring a powerful Snapdragon X processor and a Hexagon neural processing unit (NPU) designed to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. This new laptop boasts a 14-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1,920×1,200 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. Running on Windows 11 Home with Copilot support, the Vivobook 14 aims to deliver a seamless user experience right out of the box.

Price and Availability

The Asus Vivobook 14 (X1407QA) is priced at ₹65,990 in India. Customers can purchase the laptop starting July 22 through various e-commerce platforms, including Flipkart and the Asus eShop. While the company has not disclosed multiple color options, promotional images indicate that the laptop will be available in a sleek dark grey finish.

Specifications Overview

The Vivobook 14 features a 14-inch IPS display with a full-HD+ resolution of 1,920×1,200 pixels, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and a refresh rate of 60Hz. It supports a 45 percent NTSC color gamut and can achieve peak brightness levels of up to 300 nits. The display is TÜV Rheinland certified, ensuring low blue light emission for user comfort.

Equipped with a 180-degree hinge, the laptop can lay flat on surfaces, enhancing its versatility. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X (X1-26-100) processor, which can reach clock speeds of up to 2.97 GHz, alongside a Qualcomm Adreno integrated GPU. The Hexagon NPU enhances AI performance, delivering up to 45 TOPS. The device comes with 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and offers storage options of up to 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD.

For video conferencing, the Vivobook 14 includes a full-HD IR camera equipped with a privacy shutter and Windows Hello support. Connectivity options are robust, featuring Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The laptop also integrates a Microsoft Pluton chip for enhanced security, acting as a crypto-processor within the CPU.

The ErgoSense keyboard includes a dedicated Copilot key and noise reduction technology, while the ErgoSense touchpad supports Smart Gesture features for improved navigation. The laptop is equipped with four USB ports: two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and two USB 4.0 Gen 3 Type-C ports, which support power delivery and display, offering data speeds of up to 40Gbps. Additionally, it includes an HDMI 2.1 TMDS port and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.

The Asus Vivobook 14 is designed with user convenience in mind, featuring stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos for an enhanced audio experience. It houses a 50Wh battery that supports 65W fast charging, promising up to 29 hours of battery life on a single charge. The laptop’s dimensions are 315.1×223.4×17.9mm, and it weighs approximately 1.49 kilograms, making it a lightweight option for users on the go.
