Government Holds Meeting with 54 Political Party Leaders Today

A significant meeting took place today in the Parliament House Complex, New Delhi, chaired by Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare. The session will feature a total of 21 sittings over 32 days. Notably, both Houses of Parliament will adjourn on August 12 to allow for Independence Day celebrations, resuming on August 18. This structure aims to facilitate a productive legislative environment while accommodating significant national events.

Shri Rijiju also outlined the legislative agenda for the session, indicating that 17 items of legislative and other business have been tentatively identified for discussion. He emphasized the government’s readiness to engage in discussions on any pressing issues that may arise during the session. Leaders from various political parties expressed their commitment to cooperate fully with the government, ensuring a collaborative atmosphere in the Houses. This proactive approach aims to foster constructive dialogue and address the concerns of different political factions.
