Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ Debuts with MediaTek Helio G200 Chipset

Tecno has officially launched its Spark 40 series in select global markets, introducing three new smartphones: the Spark 40, Spark 40 Pro, and Spark 40 Pro+. Notably, the Pro+ model is touted as the world’s first smartphone featuring the MediaTek Helio G200 chipset. The lineup also includes the Spark 40 with a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate processor and the Spark 40 Pro powered by the MediaTek Helio G81. All three models come with an IP64 rating and are equipped with impressive 50-megapixel main rear cameras.
Pricing and Color Options
In Uganda, the Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ is priced at UGX 769,000 (approximately Rs. 18,300) for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The Spark 40 Pro is available for UGX 679,000 (around Rs. 16,200) for the same RAM and storage configuration. The base model, Tecno Spark 40, starts at UGX 479,000 (about Rs. 11,400) for the 4GB + 128GB version. Customers can purchase these devices through Tecno’s online and offline stores in the country.
The Tecno Spark 40 comes in four color options: Ink Black, Mirage Blue, Veil White, and Titanium Grey. The Spark 40 Pro is offered in Ink Black, Bamboo Green, Lake Blue, and Moon Titanium. Meanwhile, the Spark 40 Pro+ is available in Aurora White, Moon Titanium, Nebula Black, and Tundra Green, providing a variety of choices for consumers.

The Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ boasts a 6.78-inch 1.5K (1,224×2,720 pixels) 3D AMOLED display with a high refresh rate of 144Hz. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G200 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 15 with the HiOS skin overlay.
In terms of photography, the Pro+ features a 50-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM radio, OTG, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. For security, it incorporates an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone also includes Dolby Atmos-supported dual speakers and an IR blaster.

The Pro model measures 6.69mm in thickness.
Both Pro models in the Tecno Spark 40 series feature Tecno’s FreeLink technology, allowing users to make calls without relying on cellular connectivity, enhancing their usability in various situations.
