WWE 2K25 Debuts on Nintendo Switch 2 This Month

WWE 2K25 is set to make its debut on the Nintendo Switch 2 later this month, as announced by 2K on Tuesday. Originally released on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms in March, the game will be available on the new console starting July 23. Pre-orders are now open on the Nintendo eShop, and 2K has revealed various editions of the game along with their respective benefits and features, accompanied by a new announcement trailer.

WWE 2K25 Editions for Switch 2

WWE 2K25 will be offered in three editions on the Nintendo Switch 2: the Standard Edition, Deadman Edition, and The Bloodline Edition. Each edition will include all game modes and match types that players can find on other consoles. Notably, the Switch 2 version will feature โ€˜The Island,โ€™ an open-world mode that allows players to explore four districts and engage in various quests and challenges. This mode was previously exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.

In addition to โ€˜The Island,โ€™ players can expect to enjoy other popular modes such as 2K Showcase, MyGM, MyFaction, MyRise, and Universe. The Standard Edition is priced at $69.99 and includes the base game. Players who pre-order this edition will receive the Wyatt Sicks Pack, which features five playable WWE superstars and cosmetic items for use in The Island mode.

Deadman Edition and Its Features

The Deadman Edition, available for $99.99, includes everything from the Standard Edition, along with additional bonuses. This edition features the Deadman Edition bonus pack, which contains Mattel Elite โ€œGreatest Hitsโ€ Undertaker and Original Undertaker (โ€˜90) Persona Cards, playable superstars, a usable Urn object, and an Undertaker โ€˜95 Mask cosmetic item for The Island. Additionally, it includes Brother Love as a manager and grants access to the Season Pass, which covers all five post-launch DLC character packs, along with 15,000 VC (in-game currency).

This edition aims to enhance the gaming experience with exclusive content that appeals to fans of the Undertaker character. The inclusion of various persona cards and playable superstars adds depth to the gameplay, allowing players to immerse themselves in the WWE universe.

The Bloodline Edition and Exclusive Content

For the most dedicated fans, the Bloodline Edition is priced at $129.99 and offers a comprehensive package of content. This edition includes the Ringside Pass and The Rock Nation of Domination Pack, featuring a Rock Nation of Domination Persona card and a playable superstar. It also encompasses all content from the Standard and Deadman editions.

Moreover, the Bloodline Edition comes with a bonus pack that includes Mattel Elite Series 114 Jey Uso and Mattel Elite โ€œGreatest Hitsโ€ Roman Reigns Persona cards, along with additional cosmetic items for The Island mode. Later, players can look forward to the WrestleMania 41 Pack, which will introduce the WrestleMania 41 Arena, two WrestleMania 41 Superstar Persona cards, and a new playable superstar.

Nintendo Switch 2 and Third-Party Support

The WWE 2K franchise was confirmed for the Nintendo Switch 2 during the console’s full unveiling in April. The game initially launched on March 14 across various platforms, including PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X. The Nintendo Switch 2 itself was released on June 5, featuring a limited selection of first-party titles. However, it has garnered significant support from third-party developers, with popular games like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, and Split Fiction launching on day one.

In addition to WWE 2K25, Nintendo plans to release Donkey Kong Bananza exclusively for the Switch 2 later this month, further expanding the console’s game library. As the gaming landscape evolves, the arrival of WWE 2K25 on the Switch 2 is anticipated to attract both wrestling fans and gamers looking for engaging content on the new platform.
