Xiaomi has unveiled its latest tablet, the Pad 7S Pro, in China, marking a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the Pad 6S Pro. This new model features a refreshed design and enhanced hardware, positioning itself between the Pad 7 Ultra and the previously released Pad 7 Pro. A standout feature of the Pad 7S Pro is the incorporation of Xiaomi’s proprietary Xring O1 processor, which promises improved performance. The Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro is available in China, starting at a price of CNY 3,300, which is approximately Rs. 39,000, for the base model featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. As a ‘Pro’ model, it offers multiple configurations, including options with 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB of RAM. The highest-end variant, equipped with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, is priced at CNY 4,500, roughly Rs. 53,000. While the tablet is now on sale in China, Xiaomi has not yet announced plans for a global release. Customers can choose from four color finishes: Black, Purple, Titanium Silver, and Basalt Gray. Additionally, a Matte Glass version will be available exclusively in Black, with configurations of 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB.

The Pad 7S Pro features a larger 12.5-inch IPS LCD display, boasting a resolution of 2,136 x 3,200 pixels and maintaining a 3:2 aspect ratio. The screen can achieve peak brightness levels of up to 1,000 nits, enhancing visibility in various lighting conditions. A special ‘soft light’ matte glass version of the tablet is also available, which includes a matte screen protector for a unique viewing experience.
At the heart of the Pad 7S Pro is Xiaomi’s Xring O1 processor, built using a 3nm fabrication process, capable of reaching clock speeds up to 3.4GHz. The tablet utilizes LPDDR5X RAM for the 8GB and 12GB models, while the 16GB variant features LPDDR5T RAM. Storage options extend up to 1TB with UFS 4.1 technology. The rear camera is a robust 50-megapixel unit with an f/1.8 aperture and phase detection autofocus (PDAF), while the front-facing camera is a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The device runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, based on Android 15, and is powered by a substantial 10,610mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging and 7.5W reverse wired charging. Connectivity options include a USB Type-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 1), Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.

The Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro has undergone a design transformation, becoming slimmer and lighter than its predecessor. It now measures 5.8mm in thickness, down from 6.3mm in the Pad 6S Pro, and its overall dimensions are 279 x 192 x 5.8mm. Weighing in at just 576 grams, it is more portable and user-friendly.
